What seems to go over your head is the fact that the vaccinated are still ending up in the hospital in droves. This was a statistic from one fking day bruh. Also people need to remember how percentages work. If you improve your odds by 75% but your original risk was .0001%, that's barely any gain at all.

The thing is in 2020 the vaccine didint even exist and overall the hospitalization numbers were same and in some instances less than now when we have 60%-70 and in some countries 90+ vaccinated.

Countries with 90% vaccination rates should barely see any cases and hospitalizations should not even be an issue if theses vaccines were actually "effective" at doing anything but yet here we are with record covid case numbrs and hospitalizations.

This is why i think this whole thing is pure bs...every time a politician gets covid they thank the vaccine and praise it for having them not have any serious issues but in reality even vaccines did not exist most people that contracted covid did not end up in the hospital...and by most i mean like 95% of the people were just fine after a week or two chilling at the house with cold like symptoms.

I'm not criticizing anybody for getting the vaccine. There's a myriad of reasons why people got it - whether it be due to fear, coercion, employment status, or peer pressure.

I just have a problem with people who like to pretend that their intelligence was the biggest contributing factor as to why they got the vaccine when the most likely scenario is: they got the vaccine because they were scared and did what they were told to do.

I personally don't think intelligence is the biggest factor that separates vax vs nonvaxed. I think it's more to do with life circumstances and whether or not you're a big fuking pussy.

This also doesn't tell the whole story because there is a selection bias, just like with the influenza vaccine. Among people 50+ you can expect the vaccinated to be the people with generally better health than the unvaccinated since a lot of the absolutely weakest people in each age group will not have taken the vaccines.
