Never been lost in the woods, have a pretty good sense of direction. Even in Vegas I usually know which direction I'm facing, even through those mazes of slots.

Also one time I got caught in a rough tide that sunk my kayak and I was clinging to a bouy pole. Luckily a passer by saw and rescued me

Yeah when I was little. I was crying and two guys found me and insisted taking me all the way home, even though I eventually knew my way and was like "hey, I know how to get home from here" but the dudes took me all the way home and made sure my mom knew I was lost.
Edit: read megasloots story. Wtf..that's horrible

I've been turned around a couple times but mostly it was up a canyon in the mountains hunting. In those cases, if you head downhill you will get back to civilization eventually, just maybe not efficiently if you pick a bad route. I did have one time when I was 19 and hunting with my grandpa that I had hiked up to the top of the ridge. Heading back to the truck I took a bad angle down and missed intersecting the road that was higher up. I ended up in the bottom of the canyon before I figured out what was going on and had to hike back to the top of the ridge to get my bearings. I made it back, but it took a few extra hours and a bunch of sweat.
