Russia still follows the old soviet doctrine of building lots of cheap equipment, flood the zone with overwhelming numbers with the expectation to have loses and then take over. They have "decent" technology, just not very much of it and it isn't on par with countries like the US.

This is what we've seen play out based off what I have seen so far with this conflict.

Many weird things happened all over the globe in the last 26 months starting with covid to the gas crisis, all the weird happenings severely changed people's moods and mindset and something was 'off' in the environment.

With all the mood and mindset changes in a rather unpleasant way, people started doing weird things.

And well Russia invading Ukraine is the latest development, Russian leadership thinks they are right in what they intended to do, considering Ukraine was once part of the Russian Empire and it was done to discourage Nato Expansion near Russia. Russians thought invading Ukraine would be easy and met with welcome just like Donestk and Luhansk. Instead Ukrainians put on a fight and hence Russians did full scale bombartdment.

Things can get really bad if Russia intends to capture other former 13 Soviet countries after this, that would definitely push in many other countries into the war.

This could be the baddest thing to happen since World War 2.

Back in the day, the US touted that our tanks could fire on the run while hitting a moving target and that would make up for the fact that the USSR had numerically superior forces that would have to stop to shoot and couldn't accurately hit a moving target. Nobody was really sure whether to believe that, but then we saw US tanks do exactly that when coming up against that level of tech in the Gulf. Numbers are all well and good when you're going against someone with the same level of tech...like Ukraine.


But they'd never be able to do much against the likes of the US (better tech), or China (more numbers) in a conventional war. So really they're down to picking on old eastern bloc backwaters. They could probably do something against a few European countries that have neglected keeping their own stuff up to date assuming the US wasn't standing behind them. Which is why countries like Germany are now scrambling to get some defense spending going again.

This is history in the making. This is how countries get removed from the world map. They don't want to be removed from history books starting in 2022. There are heroes and losers in each story. I know it's hard to believe that some people will put their life on the line for a better future, but we can see it happening now in Ukraine. And yes, it's political, about money and territory.

People who put on resistance in a war despite knowing they will get defeated or are outnumbered are usually the ones who have no where else to go, don't want to start over in life again in a new place or have been living in a certain area or a locality for a very long time.
