As someone has probably mentioned, the pocketknife has to be under three inches long and it can't have a locking blade. "on your person" also includes in your car so you can get jail time for leaving a leatherman in your glove box/car boot if you get caught and the authorities want to be pricks about it.

Oh and if the "legal" pocket knife is used in a "threatening manner" it immediately becomes a deadly weapon in the eyes of the law. Though with that particular law, a fukking toothpick/pen/spoon/dildo is also an offensive weapon and illegal to have the second you threaten someone with it.

UK laws are some bullchit. Mind, American ones aren't far behind. You can have a machine gun if you have enough money and do a bunch of paperwork in most states, but brass knuckles, butterfly knives, and fukking nun-chucks are a bit too much to handle. Fukking state of it.

Oh and you need to get a suppressor cleared with the ATF first if you're concerned about hearing damage because some government cuck watched too many spy films.
