The price of gas is the result of disgusting corporate greed and nothing more. Their profit margin is why the gas is expensive. No other reason.
Also, ignoring the price of gas is not the same as ignoring those issues. What you did is called a strawman. Just fyi.

One must realize that many who do not understand economics only think of gains and profits, but never consider the losses. You cannot have gains without losses. If we look at the total sum of gains versus losses, in a competitive market, it would show a very different picture. Previously it was believed that the president has no effect on gas prices, but I have come to realize that this is a fallacy. Choosing to go to war with countries that control energy and oil, making policies that directly interfere with the industry etc. will all affect pricing. The reason why the fallacy remains is because the Supreme Court originally ruled that the federal government cannot control the oil industry. That’s exactly what’s happening now, but the courts don’t seem to be getting involved, letting us know that they are part of this leftist, fascist regime

I care. Guess if I didn't have to commute so much it wouldn't be that bad. However, paying$50+ a week vs $30 adds up.
I'd rather put the money in savings or buy something I want. Not something I burn.

It gets real tiring to hear people say the president or politicians have no influence on the price of goods or commodities. It instantly tells me how little understanding you have on the economy and govt. Our economy is constantly being fuked with through policy and crony capitalists. And now we're seeing all the politicians being exposed for profiting on trading oil before the sanctions took place. Talk about corruption. Every politician that has profited off this war should be hung.

Normally I don't even blink at price increases, but like others have said, this is going to go a lot further than just filling your car. People who were already stretched thin are going to be behind suddenly and that will cascade. Costs of ALL GOODS are going to go up 20-30% at least. Not just groceries. And like another poster said, that just gets passed on to the consumer. Suddenly that $10k house repair becomes $13k. And even people who don't even provide goods that need transportation will hop on the gravy train like insurance companies.
I'll be fine because I can control my income and am willing to work more to make more money. Lots of people either can't or won't do that and then just complain.

I pay attention cause I drive a lot but not like I'm going to stop enjoying my life just cause the economy has gone to ****. Gas is easily the most expensive part of every trip I take.

Lot of retards in this thread, I wish this is just trolling but I bet it's not. Everything will up when gas prices go up..rent, food, merchandise pretty much anything! These idiots voted for Biden? If you don't know anything about economics than you should have no right to vote...
Going down on your cousin is like a non alcoholic beverage. Tastes the same, but just isn't right.
