Started on the teen misc for some reason, looking for actual real advice lol. Then found the misc and was hooked.

back in the day you could be on here 24 hour of the day hitting f5 and the whole first page would be new quality lul threads.

Misc used to be a top 20 traffic forum on the internet...wtf happened mane.

I was like hmmm what is this misc, back then it was hilarious. I take years off now at a time and pop back because there is still the odd lol here and there

back in the early 2000s, the only way you could get good lifting advice, nutrition, and routines were from bodybuilding magazines or bb.com forums. i was also looking into getting into dat der celltech and came across the forums here. basically i came for the bro science but stayed for the misc. i lurked for years before making an account.

I was living in Hawaii late 2005 & I found the wrestling section & joined.

I've taken breaks but I return to the misc & the wrestling section from time to time just to catch up with some of the people that I know & to share my opinion & knowledge.

I initially saw bodybuilding.com after i had getting into lifting and didn't like it compared to other forums - I think i was posting on the teen misc and reading lifting advice? I preferred other forums for that though. I actually saw zyzz AFTER a year or so of lifting on somebody's ******** and that's what got me to visit the misc back in 2010 i think? To be honest i think that was the beginning of the end for me.

I posted some progress pics on here looking for validation and got torn to pieces for 10 pages about how i made too little progress (even though everybody in my gym knew me as the 'big 17 year old' - sp that killed me completely inside. For some reason i always attract that into my life when looking for validation, so i learned to not give a fuk eventually, hence why i am now the wiseoldape.

I joined to learn how to eat and train. I recall one of the first major threads I stumbled onto was in the Teen Misc and it was about shoving boiled eggs directly up your butt to increase both protein absorption efficiency and quickness; eliminating the entire stomach from the equation saw protein hit your muscles that much faster. I saw a heated debate unravel over this slightly controversial topic and I knew then that this was the right place to be for my bodybuilding needs.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Back in around 2007 I was searching for Nice Guy Syndrome about my issues, which led me to PUA stuff, including weightlifting, which brought me here. Been here on and off since them since this is the most entertaining forum I've ever seen.

Had 3-4 different screennames since then, used this one the longest.

As a youngster like many of us I thought bodybuilders were cool and thought I could get close to that natty. Used to follow bodybuilding forum then went to the workout section for advice then stumbled upon the misc a year or so later and that graphic of the guy getting sucked into the misc is 100% accurate. The rest is history.

Started in the nutrition and supplement sections for this account in 2014. Prior to that, I used BB.com back in 2000 or so but I remember it then being like an AOL type chat. Left for a decade, came back.

Used to browse the workout and nutrition sections for some advice on how to get big. Would always scroll past the misc section cause I was here for lifting reasons so i never really looked into it. One day, out of boredom, i decided to check it out and the rest is history.

AFter PUAh8.com got shut down I had nowherez to go. I had been coming here because of some posters there trolling the /misc. This was maybe in the days of RudyRude absolutely crucifying miscers with the BLACKPILL.

PUAh8 was the greatest forum for the LULZ of all time. Period. So much gold was lost. But that said, kinda been some crossover onto here. As an OG PUA8er I brought some of their sensibility to the misc for sure.

Besides, I'm staying in Bodybuilding.com forums not only misc.
