If this is some group that just goes around searching for explosives and then calls the local police everytime they find one, thats annoying AF, they need to find and pay contractors to do that or create a non profit orginization which pays bomb disposal units to come in and do it.

Imagine some guys going around places and calling in the local bomb squad, which as orangetide said, is probably just a mix of officers from state and local agencies who are "on call" so you are having to call in 4-5 officers who may not even be on shift at the time, plus multiple supervisors.

I also don't know if her holier than thou attitude is her being a dumb **** or because she is prior military and has some knowledge on EOD. She gives off some former military vibes.
They are a volunteers who search as well as clean rivers and streams by magnet fishing and then dispose of the junk they find.

When they find something cool or interesting they highlight it in a YouTube video. They often find weapons etc.

Here is the full video

Your GF locking you out of the house isn't a police matter, what the **** do you want us to do about it?

Also the way police DEAL with citizens when they respond to calls.

Ive been in LE as an officer for over a decade and got a degree in CJ(and psych) im aware how it works.
Congratulations, we both got tricked into getting a degree in CJ. Thing is pretty much worthless.

Also, I'm CPD, and yes, I do believe in de-escalation, but there are numerous calls that are a waste of time, and the district is too busy to be dealing with their bull****.

Sorry Mohammed, but locking up the hype at your gas station for trespass isn't going to happen.

Would a degree in CJ help with getting promoted or is it really useless? I do security and some of the management positions require a degree in CJ or a related field. Btw we just got a new hire that came from CPD, maybe he was a friend of yours. I forgot his name tho

If the city you're applying to specifically requires one, go for it I guess. If the place requires a BA, get one in something useful.
