The fact that Russia still hasn't taken Kiev, has had multiple generals killed, hasn't shut down Ukraines critical infrastructure and that the Ukrainian president is still giving speeches is very telling. This can't be going well for them.

I don't think their goal is to capture cities, that chit is way too messy. I think they are just encircling Kiev to bring Zelensky to the negotiating table. Their primary offensive is happening in the south and east of the country where they seem to be focused on connecting Crimea to Russia via land bridge (and thus fortifying their Azov Sea position and securing the Kirch Strait).

I presume they initially thrusted into Kiev under the presumption that they would try to capitulate Ukraine in a couple of days/weeks (as Putin has been claiming he could do for years), and when they realized that wasn't realistic, shifted footing and are now moving towards a more protracted land war that seeks to get as much land as possible before they sign anything permanent. Not really sure how these new security guarantees that everyone keeps mentioning are realistic though, because those have been in place already since the 90s lmfao. A lot of good they did Ukraine.

I'm interested to see if they try to annex and/or liberate some kind of breakaway republic in that area during the peace talks. If they stick to their initially stated war goals of the recognition of Crimea, DNR, and LNR, and no NATO, I think that this war can just be considered a gigantically vain waste of life and materiel over something that we could have easily settled through diplomatic channels.

Yep, I'm an American living in Saint Petersburg. Coverage of American wars is exactly like CNN is covering the war in Ukraine, they show the civilian toll, talk constantly about crazy American presidents, that kind of thing.

posting this intentionally near the bottom of this page so it doesn't clutter up the top or near-top of a page b/c it's a very long post with so many links

yes I'm a considerate person like that

but anyway here it is for anyone who wants a lot more info ...

Humans. AI is good but not that good yet on these terms.

...

They're everywhere they can be now without exception, as far as anywhere where people are openly discussing politics, current events, etc. They're in any busy forums they can be, all social media(although FB and Twitter have banned tens of thousands of their accounts they still make more), news article comment sections, Reddit, anywhere they can be where comments and discussion happen.

Yeah I know this may sound like paranoid hype to some people but it really is that big. See the many links below with more information. They clearly treat their online army activities as if not more important than their real army. Other country's governments do it too but no one's is advanced as Putin's.

There should be very serious international law against it and any proven organizers and managers of it who violate that international law should be considered on the same level as international terrorists. It's a very bad problem IMO and delegitimizes all of us and online discussion in general. Am I a shill? Are you a shill? Is memcop a shill? No one knows with this crap going on and going on extensively.

and in case anyone is wondering no I'm not a gov shill. That would be a good question though. I have no allegiances to anyone or anything other than God, my loved ones, the truth, a better future world, and myself. I just want people to know what's going on.

I don't think it was a shift based on the initial flood strategy. I do think they hoped on surrender based on that strategy. The amount of forces readied, staged, and pushed proves the land invasion strategy and encircling was the primary mission with follow on logistics to continue the battle.

There are many ill-conceived opinions itt of what is happening. Ukraine at best can harass Russia and the land bridge comment is spot on.

Ukraines last chance at Kiev is happening now. The rest in the south is a wrap as expected with Odessa open amd soon to battle.

Reading that quote, looks like Putin was right. Seeing all the militant groups it spawned, ISIS etc who wanted a piece of that sweet oil rich land.

You realise how the West controls the world when you see the reaction to war when an enemy of the west starts it compared to a UK/USA/NATO country. People just eat up it, most people don't question it like miscers do they just eat it up.

This war has exposed A LOT of hypocrisy.

He could have. Are you saying he's taking cities?

He could have easily but with great casualties to both sides done so by pushing directly on it as opposed to spreading his invasion forces all over the east of Ukraine.

What do you think a concentrated force like Russia is capable of?

Rambler is analogous to like Yahoo! or MSN in America, they aggregate news, offer email et. Just so you have some idea of what the source is (i.e. it's not a government website which, if anything, would probably take a harder line against the west).

I just ran the article through Google Translate so you get the gist of how they use the same kind of language that the west uses about Russia. "The Bush regime", "military aggression", etc. Anyway, I kept getting Access Denied error when I tried to post the full text of the article (not sure what that's about, I'm sure mods are already on this problem lmfao not srs), but you can just run the article through Google yourself.

There are countless more articles that strike a similar tone. It's 1984 brah. It's literally all propaganda-- western, Russian, Chinese. We just are in continuous warfare with one another while the elite classes send teenagers to die over meaningless scrub land.

There are many ill-conceived opinions itt of what is happening. Ukraine at best can harass Russia and the land bridge comment is spot on.

Ukraines last chance at Kiev is happening now. The rest in the south is a wrap as expected with Odessa open amd soon to battle.
Oh yeah, I mean, I think they had Plan B ready to go while they were still massing troops, but I think, based on the fact that they sent their entire forward operating forces across the border with three days worth of fuel is pretty telling about how confident they were that Plan A was going to work though.

Mariupol may be totally taken over in the next week or two. It would be the largest city taken so far if so, being about the 11th largest city in Ukraine. So far the largest taken is Kherson at the 17th largest city in Ukraine. The area controlled by UA mil is tight now. I don't know if they'll fight to the death, surrender, or break out and escape/retreat to other UA-controlled territory which they may not even be able to do even if they wanted; or maybe they'll hold out and a peace agreement will come before the city is taken.

tweets about Mariupol

situation

Meanwhile Russian forces have been pushed back away from their attempt to surround Mykolaiv, back to Kherson. They have have fallen back to the city of Kherson following stiff Ukrainian counterattacks. Since being pushed back from Mykolaiv, getting a large force close to Odessa(3rd largest city in Ukraine) probably won't be coming anytime soon.

Been paying close attention all 3+ weeks and haven't seen anything. I wouldn't be surprised if they are, but sharing the footage doesn't fit their propaganda narrative, nor benefit them intel/op-sec wise.

There's a lot of drone footage out there brah. Everyone's using them.

Most of the stuff being published by the Russian Armed Forces is on ********, dropping links to some channels:

Some are Russian language only, apologies, but you can still see the videos people are dropping. A lot of times certain invite-only channels will drop videos and you can follow the videos back to the original channels and request to join (haven't been denied to one yet, I think it's just a means of bypassing some ******** mod rules or something against gore maybe?).

Ok not sure how it's possible, but allegedly Andrey Nikolaevich Paliy, deputy commander of the Russian black sea fleet and Captain 1st Rank was killed in Ukraine.

Yeah this is why I asked. Haven't seen anything too and surely they'd be more efficient if they used them. Your reasoning is spot on.

Oh fair enough. I know US is getting ready to send a bunch of Switchblade drones over there and I'm pretty sure those have an offensive component. All I've seen from the Russians so far is observation drones, but I imagine they'll send some attack drones in if the US does too.

A few days ago there were satellite images of Russian landing ships moving in. Maybe they landed and he died on land.

Not sure what are you talking about, tbh.
Theres so many drone attacks from russian side, that I legit stopped watching them.

Just stop looking for it on reddit, CNN, or other MSM, as they strictly censor that kind of stuff.
