Makes it very easy when someone has only a few hundred posts over a decade of membership, and I think we could come up with some pretty compelling speculation based on this username's history.

Russia has a bigger military personnel than 200k, so im assuming troops will be rotated as needed or more will be sent in as needed.
The common strategy seems to be to have an initial invasion force which slightly outnumbers the military of the country you are invading.
From my understanding, you never want to go balls out with all your military for an invasion as it leaves your country vulnerable. The US had an invasion force of 450k for iraq 2003, again slightly outnumbering iraqs military when combined with coalition forces.

Rest are the airborne VDV, a selection from the top of the volunteers with - allegedly - better training and equipment.

This war makes them look like COMPLETE imbeciles. I doubt they could coordinate anything, much less rig us elections.

Russian military is hilariously corrupt and ineffective, their tech is old and crappy and they can't even replace their "modern" tech because they lack the necessary funds and parts, especially since the sanctions. If you've been following events, they've repeatedly made "here's our newest Wunderwaffe" announcements with crap like the Armata tank and the Su-57 jet, which was supposed to compete with the US made 5th generation jets. They have maybe ten of each on a good day despite announcing hundreds and thousands of tech.
Then we get the lulzy "badass space marine Russian turboarmor" announcements
https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidha...h=7c408aa62cdd
- so a biker helmet with some styrofoam and removed optics, probably sold off to a European/American airsoft player. Also some meme tier announcements
They simply haven't faced a professional army with somewhat modern equipment so far. Ukrainians have been receiving training and some equipment since 2014, and of course a lot more during recent times. Russians thought they would roll over like they did the last time in 2014 and they could just overwhelm them with numbers etc.

The equipment was moving towards the M10 highway. The rest of the equipment was being unloaded further.

But that was just bad planning, its not like the US withdrew due to botching military operations.
Desert storm was a month, 3 weeks of air operations and 1 week land invasion. Iraq 2003 the US was pulling down statues of sadam in bahgdad within 3 weeks. Afghanistan was totally controlled in a month, with a few mountain rebel controlled areas remaining.
Russia should have done more in the initial stages of the invasion to neutralize ukraines air force and air defence. Something that most military analysts and western intel thought would be done within 4 days.
Ukraine still has around 50 aircraft of their ~120 they started with.

Turkey is talking up progress in peace talks. Crimea and the breakaway republics are the biggest obstacles but I think they are gone for good here. I mean Crimea wasn’t really ever going back was it?

Crimea is totally a natural gas play, the same would happen to any other part of Ukraine near the borders which had gas deposits.
