The majority of lifeboats were not filled to capacity. I would have made sure I got on a lifeboat.

I would've found a way to float off the boat as the front was sinking into the water instead of waiting til it broke in half, that way I could probably only get my feet wet and bring a coat with me

Even the Pacific Ocean saw a temperature because of this event.
It was the most powerful ship at the time capable of producing 15 horsepower at full tilt, unfortunately due to primitive engineering it required extremely large boilers to produce such a number, and those boilers ran HOT. Scientists have gone on record stating it's entirely possible there's a large amount of coal still glowing with heat at the bottom of the ocean now. However it has yet to be discovered.

I wouldn't. The idea of floating in the open ocean waiting to be rescued sounds worse than dying - I'd eat the business end of my pistol before I got in the water
