If Twitter [which already dominates it's space] allows free sharing and discussion of information and ideas while other social media platforms continue to censor content that does not support the current government agenda then Twitter should continue to grow as it has global reach.

So sure, it could also be a profitable purchase, and of course it could still be used to influence the public in some way, though we can't know if said influence will be detrimental.

The people who want to stay in the official government kiddie pool safe space can still do that.

After a certain point, the amount of money you have is just a way of keeping score.

He can't "win" with money anymore, as he is already number one, so he is looking for other things. He is looking for new ways to say "mine is bigger than yours", hence the whole mars thing.

He just got a $23B bonus for the record quarterly results at tesla and in the same way that other people will go and buy a sports car with their bonus check to show off, he went and bought twitter.

Well what kind of do goodery could it be used for? You didn't give any examples. He will probably make most of his investment back. But I personally wouldn't buy twitter. I don't use twitter and I don't know anyone that does. It was cool when it first came out, but I'm assuming it got overtaken by other platforms such as Instagram in terms of popularity.
