I didn't want kids until I had the baby urge in my 30s.

I was busy with my work career, tennis career and traveling all over the world scuba diving with my husband in my 20s.

Yeah we were too selfish for kids then. But she came at a different time in our life and it was perfect.

Yeah ok. I only had to change my sons diapers for 2 or so years until he was potty trained. I've had to take my dog for a walk 3+ times a day for the 9 years I've had him and will continue until he passes.

I think most females want kids but some won't know it until they're in their 20's or maybe older. Then there are the ones who put if off for whatever reason and then age out. There are many circumstances for some women never having kids. I feel especially bad for the ones who were sold the "you can do what you want/work on career until your 30's then find someone to settle down with and have kids" or the ones who had their time wasted/youth stolen by someone who had no intention of marrying them. This is why I'd recommend to any young girl to not waste many years with someone who's not willing to put a ring on it after a year or two.

You aren't seriously trying to imply that a dog is a bigger responsibility than a child because you walk it multiple times a day?

At any rate - what he said 100% applies to my sister. Alway has a fuk ton of dogs at home (hated going there full the holidays, but my parents moved closer and now we do them there) AND volunteers at a dog shelter...but no kids (married though). She's also a mostly illogical libtard, not crazy crayon hair level but...still pretty bad.

100% this. I wanted kids, but I also know it's probably better not to bring them up in the world the way it's currently going. I don't want them indoctrinated to be victims by the "education" system, be crippled with debt from the insane housing/general cost of living, or grow up in a world where "interacting" virtually will be the de-facto form of communication. Let's not even get into all the social anxiety over trivial chit like "genders", the fact that I can't even govern how I want my kids to be raised because of social media and the ability for their peers to cancel them if they disagree with the mainstream diaspora, or that finding a mate will be exceptionally hard if he isn't tall/good-looking enough.

I can live with this because I'm an adult and know that's just how it is, but it'd crush me to see my own kid struggle to make sense of this clown world or turn out to be one of the thousands of entitled, tik-tok addicted cucks I see coming into the workforce every year.

Of course it's not the same responsibility as having a baby/kid. But having a dog is a big responsibility. You can't leave them for longer than 8-12 hours and you have to take them out multiple times a day. Tell me how people who don't want any responsibility get dogs?

What we have in very few areas of the USA is a "start" to something great.

The Netherlands figured this out 50 years ago and aggressively worked toward it.

I know Arizona infrastructure is probably better than the majority of states because of our nice weather, but look at chithole cities like los angeles, what is their excuse?

We are VERY far away from the average child in the USA cycling 100 miles per month like they do in Netherlands.
