Someone above is going on about the sun reflecting light from the moon, to give an example. What's really going on in here is basic physics education is lacking, probably below a high-school level, based on the posts.

If it was fake and they wanted to make it more beliavable they could build a more beliavable project.
They had stuff like this back then:

Almost as if it's a near vacuum between the earth and moon and this is all a nonpoint anyway. That might require high school level physics though.

Look at how Covid went on for years.
If the media wasn't talking about covid few people would ever have known it existed because there were few signs people were sick. Meanwhile, a long time ago when the "Black Plague" existed and there were smallpox outbreaks, you didn't have to have a media in existence for people to know. It was very bad and people just found out.
So, when dealing with the black plague people were living in reality. With covid it seemed like lies spread by the media. The media has only been around for like 70 years and the way it is now is unlike anything in the history of the world.
So, it is very dangerous.
Regarding the moon, it was something heavily promoted by the media. The media could have been used to fake it.
The important thing about faking things is that if you believe them, reality changes.
If you know we CAN'T go to the moon then it says something about humanity and our country. If you know the government lied, that says something.
To me it says that we had better focus on what we CAN do, not dreams.
If we did go to the moon it means that we can achieve really hard things---if we want to.
If not it means we can't achieve really hard things and need to be practical.

The only time they actually hung out in the LEM was Apollo 13 because they had no choice and had to find a way to make it work

We all know you originally meant you had doubts that the structure itself would be able to "withstand" space. Now you're on about it being able to sustain life inside of it?

Here's the module without the paneling, while in construction.
Did you think it was made of styrofoam and tin foil, like your helmets? You're the equivalent of idiots pointing fingers at a dude wearing a jacket and saying that his body is held together by the fabric.

It was attached to the CSM but airlocked(sealed off) until they were to decend to the moon.
At that time 2 astronauts would get in it. The third would stay on the CSM in Lunar orbit.
Then they detach and land. Then they take off less than 24 hrs later. When they are out of it on the moon it's not sustaining life.
