Just moved my parents into a place....1100sq ft, 2br/1bath, condo..... built in 2001 and not touched since .....$1300/month......$200 more than my mortgage for 2400 sqft 4/3 on 1 acre remodeled in 2019. It's a fukking joke right now.
Halfway through the application process they told us they were raising the rent from $1199 to $1309 and basically said if we weren't ok with it, we could walk but they wouldn't give us the deposit back. We were in a situation where our backs were basically against the wall and they HAD to be out of their old place, and the availability in this area is chit, so we took it up the ass.
Tell your landlord "you can raise the rent, but I aint gonna pay it" then just know you have 3 months before you get evicted.

Threads like this are pathetic. If you would stop eating so much avocado toast and drinking Starbucks you would be able to afford rent.

Seems like you never hear from rentcels who constantly rail on with their predictions of a massive housing market collapse in threads like these.
If you want to rent long-term without drastically reducing your options, you're gonna need to keep your pet situation to a minimum. Either that, or expect to pay out the asss in premiums to have multiple pets somewhere halfway decent. Part of why they charge the pet fees is as a means of helping verify that the person isn't a bum barely squeaking by who will end up letting their pets tear the place apart.

The reason most rental places have no/minimal pets rules is because if they didn't, the places could go to hell real fast.OP has 2 pets, has places where they take 1 pet in his price range.
OP would rather be homeless than give up 1 pet? lmao no wonder you rent.
