Many people think that people seeking abortions who live in a state where it's banned can access care in a different state, but Bae stressed that it's not that simple. Some states, including Kentucky and South Dakota, have banned accessing medication abortion via mail, and lawmakers in Missouri proposed banning people crossing state lines to avoid the state's abortion restrictions. It's since been shelved, but Bae said overturning Roe v. Wade may invigorate states to try to pass such laws.

Agreed, you can still get one. I live in Boise, Oregon is 45 miles away, its not that hard people. I do see people already saying they are going to move. Reminds me of everyone moving to Canada when Trump won, ohh wait, that never happened either.

Also reminds me of the NY concealed carry ruling yesterday, I saw so many "Now anyone can carry a gun anytime, anywhere" posts. Nope, thats not how that works. Know the laws before you burn down your cities.

I did see the ruling yesterday. I was born in NY and was glad to see it. I get the elevated emotions around abortions, but not that ruling.

I too see this evolving into civil unrest.

I believe if it does, it is intentional and the actual goal of these rulings. We do not have to give them what they want. We don’t have to do it.

Not that anyone here is upset about these rulings. Tell your friends tho.

Yes, 17 year olds will slowly need to start taking accountability again, and realize that actions have consequences. Sucking your unborn child's brains out isn't an alternative.

It is that simple.

No state can ban you from leaving the state to go do something else in another state. Missouri can PROPOSE it all they want, it would immediately get shot down.

And I'm saying just lol if you think the Republicans being in power in the midterms of 2022, winning the presidency in 2024, and then winning 100% of congress from now until forever is going to meaningfully change the trajectory that the United States is travelling right now my brother.

The kinds of deep-seated cultural and social trends that need to undergo seismic and fundamental changes in order to even begin to approach the fiduciary and military challenges that confront the United States on the global stage right now are so much deeper and more existential than Republicans v. Democrats. And not a single motherphucker is even talking about them lmfao.

These are the kinds of problems that are solved by natural forces such as economic decline, the collapse of social contracts, widespread chaos, and major societal upheavals. Not votes.

Anyone else going to invest in coat hangers?

Turning it over to the states to enact just means the country is even more divided on a state level, and it was already pretty bad. And basically any politician who supports this lost most of their female vote immediately.

The GOP will need to go at least limited pro-choice or else huge Democratic wins are coming in 2022 and 2024. Pro-choice of some sort is the majority position even in most deep red states.

This country is fukin retarded
It shows those ones who claim the right wing are all dumb and ignorant are dumb and ignorant cult followers who read headlines or just let cnn tell them what it means.

Those leftists are morons, I learned long ago every single thing the left says is either an exaggeration or completely out of context sensationalism so they get people to panic and to the far left

They manipulate and lie

Just like how they say whites are hunting blacks, Bull fukking chit, its blacks who are doin the majority of random violent crime interracial but the left blames white supremacy for the attacks on asians

They are dishonest and need to be sued just like how the covington catholic boy sued, they tried to make him out to be some smug racist.

Because the left are trying to push this anti white, anti christain agenda, they know its not true so they have to create divisin by reaching and lying

I have heard states (mostly in the north) are proposing safe harbor legislation for individuals who go there to get an abortion, so they can’t be extradited back for it. I believe there are/will be laws which address crossing state lines for abortions.

In some form or another, we absolutely will. I’m not fully convinced of a civil war just yet, but the current trend of polarization suggests people will continue to pick sides and we may see a number is states de facto secede from the Union srs.

Consider the demographic trends and geographic politicization where, for example, Florida is going full conservative and California is going full liberal lunacy. People who seek out those ideologies are flocking to those areas. States rights are a fundamental American value, so in theory this shouldn’t be a problem, but when we are so divided I predict we see alliances form where a group of states will adopt similar policies and at some point actively ignore federal government laws.

We may see a time where there are even effectively two presidents because if one side is elected to the White House, the opposition state governments will literally choose to not recognize his authority. If the feds decide to enforce their laws militarily, that would be when we are at risk for actual warfare.
