That picture is literally the capture of an area the size of a grain of sand held at arms length... Even if .0001% of galaxies had the right conditions to sustain life that'd still leave an infinite amount that do. Mind blowing to think of all the different species/civilizations that have existed, well theoretically being an infinite amount any scenario you can think of has been conceived at some point at some time. I think psychedelics are the only way possible for the human mind to even come close to fully comprehending the scope of things and our insignificance.

How do we know conditions for life where we live is the same for other places? Could be some creature out there that needs total different conditions to survive

Can this thing detect if there's life on other planets? Can't we just point it at all the so called "earth like planets" that they've discovered and see if there's anything there?

But atheism. Actually assuming you have some type of proof god isn’t real? Your literally picking the other side of a coin that’s relying on just as much “faith” as an evangelist who can’t take Adam and Eve as allegory.

Please enlighten me on your proof of no god oh all knowing atheist. Fuk even physics “simulation” bros think your damn retarded for that. The conditions for life aren’t something that just “happens” through natural phenomena.

Ib4 infinit possibilities means it’s bound to happen. That’s just as far off the deep end into faith in ignoring mathematical probabilities.

That's one egocentric mistake I believe scientist have always made, only looking for similar conditions to the ones found here on earth for life. With an infinite amount of possibilities which means an infinite amount of chemical cocktails/conditions there could very well be life forms out there the complete opposite composition of ours, such as non-carbon based life forms.

And what’s the average number of stars per galaxy??

Edit: average is 100 million stars per galaxy.

What’s the average number of planets per star?

Edit: undetermined. They estimate only one on average.

U sure? Why not stars that are much closer to the lens so they appear large compared to the galaxies that are far.

That's the mental gymnastics of religion. Proof can't be provided for either side, so it can't be proven or disproven. Christcels get triggered and I'm fine knowing no one is in the sky watching me masturbate.

Yes, it does happen through natural phenomena. How did God come about then? Let me guess, he's eternal and no one made him. Lmao

I’ve found my own proof. I don’t mind sharing what I believe. But you want to play the intellectual game. And the fact is until you find proof of something to believe in agnosticism is the only smart play. You are an absolute retard to commit to atheism unless you have found some type of proof in your life god doesn’t exist.

If that’s the case so be it, but you are lost and doomed to a meaningless life. While I enjoy every moment as a gift. Atleast agnostics are looking for something or are just enjoying the view.

Atheist is the antonym of Theist. Wherein a Theist has a belief, we have a lack of belief. It's not about proof because you don't prove something does not exist, it's a logical fallacy.

You are an atheist of Thor and Odin. Do you need to prove their lack of existence? Or do you just agree with the population that they are from an obsolete belief system because there's a lack of proof they existed? What we call Norse Mythology and create comics or movies out of, could one day be the same fate given to Christianity. Could take another 10,000 years but I'm just trying to draw a comparison here.

We don't believe in Jesus and God just like you don't believe in Odin, Thor, Loki, Freya etc. Do you need to prove they don't exist? Can you?

Edit: I'm not happy this thread about astronomy became about religion. The latter always turns into bickering or veiled "better than thou" retorts.

maybe the reason jesus hasn't returned to earth is because he is busy visiting other planets and theres only one of them, so one day after a billion galaxies later he will come back
