Yeah that’s me. I make about 200k per year in my role.

So I’m giving up about 600k - 200k for the program and 400k opportunity cost of not working.

No fuks given. Have always wanted to do an mba internationally but got complacent because I’m making an above avg income. Gonna pull the trigger no fuks given.

Also my industry (fund sales) is a commoditized and sinking ship so if I don’t reinvent my skill set I am fuked lol so going back to school is sort of out of necessity as well.

Nice mane. What career field you looking at? Might as well take the risk, Worse case scenario you can always go back to that sales role and save money. Maybe use it to start a business if things don't work out.

I'm not even sure which sounds awful and is probably very stupid. Brb spend 200k on a degree, move across the world with no clear direction. The problem is I sell mutual funds and it's a dying industry that is completely commoditized so unless I reinvent myself I could be fuked.

Anyways I know 3 guys that I worked with in the same role who did top MBAs.

One is an associate investment banker, the other is a buyside equities analyst and one is a consultant for Boston Consulting Group. They all got these jobs in their early 30s.

I felt just fine hanging around college bars. Didn't feel out of place or anything. I'm not some creep, just felt pretty natural to me. Now if you're talking 18-21 you may have a point.

Honestly, 26 year olds have a lot more life experience nowadays than in the past. Social media gives people access to a lot of things that they would have had no idea about even 15-20 years ago.

All my friends in their 30s just do things as couples and stuff. What am I going to do? go on a couples vacation. Hanging out with mid 20 year old's is way better.

I've been sitting on about 300 bucks of a student loan that has been deferred due to me being in grad school for the past few years, and thanks to covid the interest rate is 0%. That student loan is the oldest thing on my credit report so it brings my average age of credit up, increasing my credit score. I've been perfectly content to just let it sit there, but it starts accruing interest again next month so I guess I'll finally pay it off. My credit score is currently 808, so hopefully it stays above 800.

Agree with your point though that you shouldbe ableto pay off your student loans at this point if you haven't already. Might make an exception for student loans from medical/law school though.
