Yeah but I'd cauterize it right away with a red hot bayonet so they don't bleed out and miss out on all the rest of the tortures.

I didn't watch the vid but apparently, after that they cut his balls off, stuffed them in his mouth, and dragged him to death in a vehicle...

Hopefully whoever did it will be captured and tried for war crimes, but let's be honest...nothing will happen. That's why war is disgusting and should be prevented.

War aint that bad when it's "noble". All you have here are just loser Ukaranian "soldiers" causing more bloodshed since it gives them a sense of purpose by shooting and looting at people. These dudes are no different from low life criminals but the stage is theirs.

There are no noble wars really. Every war has atrocity and represents the total breakdown of law and reason. IDK anything about that particular soldier. Maybe he did something horrible, maybe he didn't. Maybe he was just trying to defend his nation. The truth is innocents die in war, and war changes people. People should not glorify war.

War is not a place for honor. The honorable thing to do is to resolve disputes peacefully. That doesn't always work. Sometimes, people are forced to fight. But each person should hold themselves to their standards of ethics. Even if there will be no law to punish them, they will know what they did. When those soldiers go home to their families and try to live normally after the war, they will have to live with what they did. Unless they are pure sociopaths, it will affect them forever.

I see no reason to do this. Too personal. Your victim is just an NPC fighting for his kingdom like you are.

Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you

You may not have much power when everything falls apart around you and you see your friends killed. But you do get to control one thing. You get to choose what you will do. Men of honor hold themselves to standards even when there is no law or punishment. That is what defines someone's character. It's the difference between heroes and monsters. You get to choose or find out what you are. Fortunately, I've never been in that situation. I'd like to think I'd stop myself.

Wrong. There is such a thing as a noble war. You literally have a perfect example with the Russian/Ukrainian war. They didn't agree on governmental policies and some people revolted(WHICH IS NOBLE). This why there's a war going on. Push comes to shove, the Russians have a more powerful army than the Ukrainians.

The US wages war exclusive to steal land and resources.

No, and you don't want that to be your reputation either.

I'd totally go into battle draped in the severed penises of my enemy. So the ones that see me know they're next.

It is fair if you are trying to win the war.

When you are fighting an actual war where it's your people vs the other people, it makes sense to unleash quick total destruction.

For instance, when the US Revolution happened, the soldiers from the US did not fight according to "fair" British rules, and then they won even though they shouldn't have. US soldiers were more like "terrorists" than soldiers.

That's because the Revolution was about either living as low class British slaves or getting some kind of freedom by fighting dirty.

If you are in an "end of the world" kind of fight it's okay to send soldiers you captured back home with no testicles. That's because they will terrify the other soldiers back home.

It's okay to kill children, and so on.

War Rules:

I always associated noble war rules with the British.

That's where you treat prisoners great, don't shoot people on Christmas, and so forth.

In my opinion, that's when you are having a fight with people who are likely to turn out to be your friends. Such a war is still perverted but they don't want to make it worse.

The goal is to have a "fair fight" over some subject and then when the matter is settled, you go back to being friends. That kind of thing take VERY high ideals and stakes that are not that important to begin with.

I see there's two kinds of war.

1. A trivial war over land and/or political/economic ideals.

2. An all out war for survival.

With the first type, it's best to have ethical rules for fighting.

With the second type it's best to go all out and genocide the people trying to destroy or enslave you.

When your "homeland" is not a home to the people living there, you have f@cked up.
