They were so loud in condemning the visit that they have to do something or it looks really bad for them. I think they absolutely will retaliate but how they will do it is anyone's guess. We don't get the full story here in America often and so we might not even find out about the retaliation.

You're trying to act all noble. You are right about him and his doomsday hardon, but that is in all of real men to some degree. We want to fight and protect and be a part of something, but none of that exists without an aggressor. It is funny that people think China is going to overtake the US in a meaningful way. Their economy is in a dangerous situation and, in the long term, its headed for disaster. The very thing that makes Chinas economy boom, low cost manufacturing, is going to be extinct with the robotics revolution speeding our way....and China knows they have a problem because of their "hive mind" and its why they are flooding western universities to try to create independent thought to become a service based economy. Its a race and they appear to be slowly losing it.

Their military is no where on par with the US and is decades, outside of a few technologies, behind the US. China hacks technology from the US or buys and reverse engineers tech from Russia. Our military loves to talk about China being a near peer status but the reality is thats budgetary begging.

In the end China and the US are partners to some degree. They rely on the US for a HUGE portion of their economy and we rely on them for cheap manufacturing. There is a time when this all comes crumbling down and when THAT happens, I will have concern about a real conflict.

I think they will do more than that. My guess is something economic or maybe something in Africa related to trade or minerals. They will look way too weak if they don't hit back in some manner.

Where did I say any of that? Ukraine is a very corrupt Country but they have been slowly moving in the right direction away from corruption. All of their corruption is 99% based on RUSSIANS and Pro Russian politicians running the Country. They are currently fighting for their freedom AGAINST corruption and Russian influence.

This is 100% fact. Most of their population still lives like they did 50 years ago, their people are poor, and the majority of what they produce isn't needed. They do have rare earth metals, some chip making, steel, etc, and while it would be painful in the short run, we could transition all of this back to the US, or buy from others if we have to. You ALWAYS have the upper hand when you're a companies biggest buyer. See how Walmart dominates their suppliers.

...and no the people are not fighting against corruption. They are fighting because they dont want Russia to rule Ukraine AND men of a certain age are not allowed to leave the country. Zelenskyy is forcing them to stay and fight for the government. I know this for a fact because my neighbors are housing Ukrainian wives and children while the men are in Ukraine because they CANT leave, not because they dont want to leave in the freedom loving Democracy of Ukraine. Im sure there is a portion of the soldiers that are fighting for freedom but that does not reflect the war effort. The war effort is a centralized government effort backed by the military equipment from the United States that benefits from that centralized and VERY corrupt government. How long would the "freedom loving" Ukrainians last if it werent for the US government dumping tens of BILLIONs of dollars of military hardware and logistics/surveillance support for the corrupt government...A day, two days maximum?
