Good for you OP, for being in shape at that age but no need to try and bullsht people. Everyone knows what steroids do, it's 2022.
Maybe unintentionally lol. By saying "I was just fuking around in the gym" and looking like that, it's pretty obvious jooce was the protagonist to the gainz. I've yet to see examples of someone doing "eat clen, tren hard & anavar give up" looking like they barely lift. I've seen plenty of guys with bad genetics who train hard but still look like chit years later though.

Muscle size is actually way more correlated with androgen receptor density than T levels. When you get into the 500-600mg/wg and supersaturate receptors, thats when you start to see significant gains.

IMO skeptical of OPs head trauma story, it seems way more likely he has been abusing drugs on and off which would more likely account for his hypogonadism than head trauma. Just my take, but we take people for their word so it doesnt matter.

Also a good question would for the OP would be his dosing schedule and his blood testing timing. When you take your bloods and how frequent you inject could be the difference between a 1500 reading and a 700 reading at the same dosage

It seems lately that ANY time a person looks good on this site, they are never believed(must be oj).
Has anyone else lifted for 20 years and has results to compare to him?
Are we a guilty until proven innocent society now?
Hard work, 20 years, good genetics, athletics, diet and supplements, powerlifting, and yes accident help.

Great question and it showed me quite clearly that test is not the big player in 'natural' muscle gains. Jack it up 5x and sure, but within normal ranges, I dont feel test is all that important. That is one of the reasons no one, including myself thought about low t. Basically after my accident and recovery, I decided to take better care of myself and get back to working out. It was a life changing event for me and I had a motivation like never before in my life. I also can look back now and appreciate what my parents gave me in the genetic dept. My 'Start' pic after just dropping weight is more than many people will ever achieve. Not a arrogant comment, but just understanding the reality that we all have different gifts. I worked my a$$ of for 20 years but there are guys who will do the same and not have the results I had. I used to compete against guys on all kinds of drugs.

I was always blessed with being strong. First time in the gym in 10 years I could still bench 300 and my first squat session, I squatted 405 for the hell of it. After I got the sign off from my dr to train after the broken neck, it took me a total of 11 workouts to deadlift 500 lbs again. (that was one of my goals while I was recovering from my accident and promise that I made to my self)

This was my one year progress after I lost weight. I had about 30 lbs to shed. Not only was this 'natural', I actually was hypo gonadal and did not figure it out for a few years after this. So yes, this progress was made with almost no test. Also muscle memory cant be discounted. I had a decade of training prior but had been out of the gym for about 10 years.

Also there is a HUGE difference between what it takes to make progress, and what it takes to 'maintain'. I have learned this many times over the years, due to injury etc. One can maintain on significantly less stimulus that what it takes to build. It is almost silly really. I used to be a guy tracking every meal, every set, every rep. After a while you get to a point of diminishing returns. I have slowly relaxed my dogmatic view points. Same with fasting which has become a HUGE part of my life. I was too scared to utilize it prior thinking I would loose all the gainz. But so much of what we think we know about training is not accurate.

But HUGE MONUMENTAL difference between training for when you have progress to be made, and then once you have gotten there what it take to maintain. Cant be stressed enough. No way in hell I would have built my physique training like I do now. No amount of drugs can give you the density and thickness that years of grinding TRAINING FOR STRENGTH will give you. I am not a 'body builder'. I ALWAYS trained for strength. Just decided in last 10 years to focus on fitness and lowering my bf. Pretty amazing what was hiding below the whole time.

Read above. You have zero idea of what you are talking about. Two pics. 8 years apart.
1st pic, me still lifetime natty. 3 years into 'comeback' before I discovered I had low t.
2nd pic about a year ago.

I must really suck at figuring out how to do drugs properly because if this is 8 years of progress of me joocing to the gills, I must really be terrible at it.

Of course man! I am a pizza fanatic. Built my first over in 2009.

I built a new home about 5 years ago and could not take old setup with us, so built another, but this time I did not build my own oven.

That's a very nice-looking outdoor cooking station. Would highly recommend you add an outdoor Wok burner. Been stir frying indoor forever and just started getting into carbon steel woks (and properly seasoning them) and high output outdoor wok burners recently. Holy hell, really fast cooking that seals flavor instantly. It's like a whole different way of cooking, at least for me. When indoor stir frying on a pan, I could prep the food as I cook. Out door wok cooking, everything is prepped before I start cooking. It's going to cook that fast and really adds more flavor.

I considered going on TRT when I was 42, dropping weight and starting to be able to workout harder again like when I was younger...before getting fat. But I got good results that I was happy with. At 47 I switched to trying to attain gymnastics skills like planche and front lever. Was hoping to have full front lever before I turn 53 mid-November, already got. Feels good. Joining a circus gym....serious. Gonna learn tumbling. Enjoy your age, you only get to live once.

Thanks man. I miss training heavy. That was always my biggest motivation, but a spinal fracture in a car accident almost 4 years ago pretty much messed me up and I have never been able to recover.

I disagree. IF you have actual symptoms of deficiency, and you are taking care of yourself, then by all means. But if you are not having issues in your life, no reason to think it will make anything better. My biggest issue was I was feeling fatigue that was crushing. The weird thing is that with my test below the bottom of the range for years following my head injury, I had no sex drive issues at all. Just fatigue.

Took me and my doc 3 years to figure out why despite being in great shape and eating well etc, I felt terrible. It was only after the 3rd physical following the recovery from my accident where he decided to do a full hormone panel in addition to my regular bloodwork. I did not just have 'low-t'. My testosterone was below the bottom of the scale. He used the term 'you are about where a 12 year old girl would be test level wise'.

Here is my latest bloodwork from about 3 months ago. My bp stays 115/75. This is not the bloodwork of a guy gassing himself dude. you dont get it...but that is ok.

IndeedFuk those pompous owners! They must have some serious issues in their lives which they are compensating for.

Nope, just a guy who has been grinding it out in the gym for 20+ years. Forgot to include leg pics. Dont want to be one of those guys who doesn't post pics of legs. This was from this week. I am still working on leaning out.

Your total cholesterol is lower than mine was in college as a vegetarian (150). Are you on cholesterol meds?!!!! Mine is still in normal range but close to 200 now.

My glucose was the same a year ago as yours is now. I'm 50 BTW.

Agreed and I can't help but laugh.

Spend some decades in the gym staying consistent and lift your ass off. I look around at most people in the gym who are basically going through the motions and nothing more. I've been consistent for over 34 yrs. You'd be pretty surprised at what you can accomplish as a natty if you're actually busting your ass under the bar.

Oh because I wear my hair short and have been lifting longer than most of you have been on the planet...I'm a dyke. I was natty for over 25 yrs and compete at 117 lbs...135 in my off season. You're a ****in clown...try harder.

No cholesterol meds.
The weird thing is I have significant heart disease on both sides of my family. My dad and uncle have heart issues. Multiple heart attacks, meds since 30's. I remember when I was young my dad had to try to eat a special diet..etc. My grantfather had multiple heart attacks, bypass and died from heat issues. On other side of fam, all on med.

My lipids have always been good. What sucks is I did not start regular physicals until my mid 30's so I dont know what it was like when I was not taking care of myself and was overweight.
What is CRAZY is my lipids and profile have only gotten better since fasting was introduced 4 years ago. And then this past year I do 3 20-22hr fasts. Over that time, I started to eat foods I never would have allowed myself. My wife has a sweet tooth and so do the kids. I started eating regularly processed foods like cookies, chips, snack foods. I do time them post workout mostly, but I was thinking this past year my doc was going to see some bad blood work. Didnt happen. My lipids actually improved! So fasting has some other effects beyond the obvious. Currently eat about 2 tubs of icecream a week. (again this is part of my post workout carb allocations). Put I eat plenty of 'fun' food.

For example, my lunch on Fri which is my pizza day, took my wife to one of our favorite lunch places and had fish fry and their nachos are GREAT. My wife and I split an order of nachos for an app and then we both get the fish fry. My wife and I both eat like this. She has always stayed in shape and looks better than most 25 year olds in a bikini still at 48 and having two kids. She always just knew how to balance. Took me years to figure out. I counted macros for many years and tracked everything. It was not till I started IF that I could balance my desires to eat and maintain decent composition. I knew how to eat, but left on it's own, my appetite would have me weighing 230 pretty quickly. That is what fasting does for me.

Looking great ID keep it up!
Kimm as always, thank you and much respect. I was talking to my wife and asking her 'why the hell am I still doing this?'. I wonder what in my life I would do with the time and energy I invest in the gym. After getting hurt and having to give up lifting heavy, I second guessed if training was worth it. But I made a promise to myself when I was almost killed that I would never stop training. Sometimes I just have to have that blind faith that this is what I need to do. Stepping back, I believe that singular dedication makes me a more focused person in all my life. It makes me more accountable to not only my self but those around me. I have friends who dont 'get it' either. But after years of knowing me, they just know it as 'me'.

But the truth is we all start evaluating our lives. 50 is a big milestone for me. At time I dont know if I am walking my path or being dragged on it by the years of self expectations. Heavy stuff, but I am still finding my way.

I am living the most 'balanced' life I ever have. Working out is pretty far down on my list of what I think or talk about. It is just what I do. Like brushing my teeth.

However, every once in a while I have a super fun and enjoyable workout. I have that moment where I can look at myself and be happy with where I am (never satisfied). I can feel proud of the work I have put in and continue to put in. Those days are less often now, but VERY motivating.
Friday was a day like that for me. Had a little 'flex' session all by myself in my home gym. No buddies to banter back and fourth with. Just snapped a selfie, and posted to bb.com.

Appreciate the ones who offer support and even the criticism. I have a lot of time and a lot of my life invested in this pursuit. I try to share knowledge but many wont listen. It all comes down to genetics and effort. But no amount of effort can overcome mediocre genes. Combine being lucky enough to have a great training response and put in 25+ years, you build a pretty impressive physique. Natural or not. Was disappointed to hang up my nattie badge as I would have loved to see how far I could have gone with it. (strength wise). I am pretty confident that I could have hit the same levels of strength regardless. But I made the switch to wanting to look lean and that is detrimental to strength, and the more you lean, and hold lean, the worse your athletic performance will be and worse your overall strength will be. (unless you were born to be 5%). Once you lean out too far, the strength and performance will never come back to where you were are 13-15% which is where I was always the strongest. Again, pick your goals.

To show the huge difference between Kimm, ID, and real users.
To the keen eye, you can determine that neither are extreme, thus nullifying the silly theories postulated here.

It is like when the clowns say Serena is not a female; anyone with a little hormone knowledge can see her body is muscular but natty.

Plus we all "kinda know" each other
There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Is that skin the result of years of steroid use?
