Most (not all) incels have insufferable personalities. They are perpetual victims, but also smarter than everyone else. Nothing is their fault, nothing they changed would make any difference according to them. These are extremely unattractive traits, but this isn’t the problem, just ask them. yes lol. it’s easier to be a 6+ as a guy bc not as many guys put in effort into how they look. i’d also recommend personality maxing and being funny or interesting for incels. i think most people end up dating around their level unless they are looking for someone with an attribute way higher than their own(money, looks, etc).

a lot of people here act like one certain thing is everyone’s type, and that isn’t true. for example, two dudes that were into me weren’t into blondes so that put me in a better position. likewise, not all girls are looking for a guy who lifts or a guy with green eyes or whatever incels think is attractive

That's reasonable, but you're definitely wrong. Social media as well, not just dating apps, has had an enormous influence on real life dating. It's not just the data from the apps themselves. Women getting messaged and 1000 likes on their photos full of compliments from men inflates their self esteem. Far less women are settling down young, as far as I know this is indisputable. They are holding out for a higher value man than they "deserve".

I'm not on the side of "incels" either, any semi-decent bloke with a semi-decent personality should do fine with women in the real world and have plenty of success. If their really struggling so much to get laid then there's probably something really wrong with them and they shouldn't be reproducing anyway. However, I'm not going to pretend that these changes aren't happening, because they definitely are.

As an aside, it's not just the incels that are the victims of this shift, the 6/10 women that are refusing to settle and holding out for a 9/10 man to marry them are also "victims". Whereas in the past they might have settled for a 6/10 man in their early/mid-20s, now they can wait until 35 hoping for a 9/10 which is almost certainly not going to happen, and they end up either alone and miserable or having to settle for a 3 or 4/10 man with issues if they want to settle at that age.

I mean you can’t be afraid to take an honest look at yourself and figure out your deficiencies and then build a plan to fix them.

If you don’t do that, then it’s not involuntary celibacy, you are voluntarily celibate because you’re not doing the work that needs to be done.

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement brah.

What you've mentioned is actually my most pervasive thought. I have ruminated on this for years and as recently a few minutes before I read your post. Many of my friends are more successful in life than me and we started out in the same place.

I read somewhere that many former alcoholics look at their former drunkenness as being an old friend and long to embrace it. Maybe that's similar to having a mindset in a negative feedback loop as well. You miss it when it's not on your mind.

I'm an incel and when people tell me to lower my standards or this girl is out of my league, I think they expect me to just go out and seek out the ugliest girl I can find and date her. Which is bull**** and I would never do that. I don't give a **** if I'm a ****ing 1, I'm not gonna go seek out 1's and 2's and court them and date them and pay for everything, etc. I would rather be alone my whole life or kill myself than to do that.

I do think incels have some standards, but NOT unreasonable standards.
A man who's a 5/10 but refuses to get with 2/10 and 1/10 women would be considered an Incel.
If Chad didn't go dumpster diving, then incels wouldn't be incels once women realized that they can't even have a sex with a Chad if the woman is a 5/10. These women would realize that they have no chance to even have sex with Chad let alone a relationship or marriage with Chad. Ugly low value women have sex with Chads and live in delusion that they're in Chad's league for a relationship or marriage for the rest of their lives.

Doubt many sub 5's think they have a shot of a 7+

Its the 5's - 7's that become incels because they constantly get soft rejections from females due to hyper competition to get 7+ females and hypergamy among women that sucks which leads to many normies becoming incels instead of lowering their standards.

Scales for reference. I do think in the second scale the "Incel" group are Incels that you are referring to, that is, Normies that think they deserve at 7+ female due to unrealistic expectations.
