Grip strength question

Playing with COC grippers again. Was able to close the Number 2 once with each hand (it was bought today).

Trying to see where I sit in terms of grip strength (ik there are different types). Some studies say the average male grip was like 105 or 100 lbs etc. not sure how they measured. Dynamometer maybe? The ratings for the COC grippers is 200 lbs for the No 2 from Ironmind’s measuring. A different measurement of hanging a weight off the gripper gives it 107 lbs or something.

Can someone distill this down? Are grippers significantly different than dynamometers in their measuring?

Closing the 2 is very good, how far apart were the handles when u closed it?

Oh lol. Resting distance? Didn’t preclude them. I haven’t trained them much recently or consistently at all for months. Decided to try again the other day and could do the 1 for some reps so decided to get 2 lol

If you can close a #2 I think you can get error'd on the cheap meters they sell on amazon since they max under 200. I never used one, but anybody who can close a #2 has decent grip strength. Try to double overhand 405 on deadlift, that's roughly 200 in each hand.

Closed the 2 purely from retard thumb strength. 2.5 could barely budge. Never trained it though. I need to buy a set for myself and work on them. Used to do a ton of grip work and forearm work, but never coc.

Used to **** with grippers a while back. Different brand than CoC though. Bought a CoC #3 last year and got noped hard.

How many pounds is the #2? I want to collect the whole set of COC. All I've got now are a old set of Weider's and they're not challanging.

Thanks brah. Right now I could probably close the 2 maybe to 2.5 but I have my doubts. I've noticed I have lost a lot of grip strength compared to when I was hand cutting sheet metal with tin snips almost daily.
