I am exceedingly curious what the sentiment about the vaccine would be if trump was president. Would he admit that the vaccines were "flawed" or would he say they're perfect and the bestest vaccines ever made?

Like DeSantis, he would encourage people to get them, but he wouldn't mandate it. He would leave that criminal policy to the Democratic governors/mayors.

what?
95% of the people i know or heard of got covid while fully vaxxed.
and they caught it more than once.
i know far more people un-vaxxed who didn't get it.

Had a few co-workers who lived like they had OCD, got the jab, and even the booster.

They caught the original variant and I belive Omnicron.

I lived my life, and maybe caught Omnicron last year December, or maybe it was just the flu.

everyone was claiming they were breakout cases......errr

now to be fair, the people i knew who never caught covid post vax were also the same people who should of caught it pre-vax but didn't because of all the people they were around for work. (essential workers).

and they weren't asymptomatic either because they took tests religiously despite being vaccinated.
which doesn't make sense to me since they insisted the the vax kept you from catching it?

The vaccine was pretty good for reducing deaths and also reduced infectiousness of people since they would recover faster if infected. The thing you guys need to realize is the vaccine was made for the OG strain. We are now well into new lineages, and the vaccines are considerably less effective. No vaccine totally prevents spread. What they were calling "breakthrough cases" were either infections of new strains or instances where the vaccine didn't quite elicit good antibody responses and so people still developed symptoms and fell ill for a while. You guys underestimate how rapidly this virus evolved.

We do need updated vaccines. No, they should not be mandated, but they would be a good idea if shown to be safe.

If they were so effective how did we roll out hundreds of millions of doses in this country yet watched cases, hospitalizations, and deaths continue to go up. The numbers were worse for 2021 than 2020 despite the fact that we were giving out injections all year.

And just lmfao at people gaslighting trying to say they weren’t overpromised. The injections were sold as the key to getting back to normal. We were told they were safe and effective and would protect you. Just take the “vaccine” and we can get back to normal and you’ll be protected. Then it became “breakthrough” cases were more prevalent than we thought. Then it became clear boosters would be needed regularly, and now we realize even the boosters don’t do much at all. The reality is much more likely that the virus just did what viruses do…rolled through in waves that were weaker with each variant. Meanwhile we are about to head into a huge recession because we stopped everything in the world except the money printers, with countless billions going to the people who profited off of these borderline useless injections.

That being said, there are things about covid's origins that need to be investigated, and the NIH needs to be more transparent with the public.

Right now, I'd give my life for the Donald just so he can come in and end the war in Ukraine. SRS.

I love the deflection by keeping hospitalizations and deaths in tour stats lmao. No one is arguing that bud. But the spread is not stopped by the vaccine whatsoever. Literally the CDC director and Fauci admit this fact. Stop pretending it prevents transmission. “What it CANT DO anymore is STOP TRANSMISSION” - Cdc Director.

“A positive vaccinated person has the same viral load as a postive unvaxxed person” - Dr. Fauci.

Effective.

How many times has Biden got dat cold again now?

Strong strawman. “Nobody would expect vax to have 100% effectiveness”.

Never scared always careful, never "queefing"; why do you get this wrong after it being repeated 200 times here?

Worldwide Cases
601M

Worldwide Deaths
6.49M

That last part is millions...... plural so yeah, 6,490,000 = millions.
This is not so complicated.

So 594.5 million survivors.

And of these dead, how many were old, fat, and unhealthy?

The data was out after the first month. This was a pandemic of the old fat and unhealthy. Dr. Birx herself said all the info out of Europe showed this. And most had at least 2 comorbidities.

Lmao no. The breakthrough cases were cases people got while vaxed. Period. They kept tying to play it off like the vaccine was effective and this was rare. That was a lie.

Stop manipulating the stats by including deaths in your answers in how it was effective. We are talking about the spread. It was not effective at stopping the spread, even though they lied and said it was. Once vaxxed started getting covid they pretended it was rare and called it breakthrough cases.

Once that fell apart they then said boosters were needed.

Once that fell apart they then said ANOTHER booster was needed.

And here we are now, 2.5 years later, and people are trying to gaslight and re-write history and claim they were never meant to stop the spread. Its hilarious.

We agree but it took time to learn that what put us all at risk, if you recall.

Somebody tell ***US_Ranger*** the guy who never posts like a man but but negs from the deep, dark, shadows that i never said people needed to be vaccinated.
It was a decision between you and your doctor in my opinion, others who posted here may have had a diff opinion but mine remained linear.

He reminds me of the grumpy old man with nothing to live for in decline but never engaging in actual spirited debate or discussion.

Yeah but it didn’t take long to learn that. Dr. Birx said it in a press conference like month 1. They got all their data from Italy and other countries and in the daily pressers she did she said that. But literally everyone chose to ignore it.

Same answers you've already been given: The statistics you replied to and quoted proved that vaccines are highly effective. Why did cases go up? Because the virus evolved and mutated. Meanwhile, unvaccinated people suffered the most as a result.

Can't believe we're still getting this flagrant misinformation about the vaccines being ineffective or not stopping spread this late into the game.

Vaccine was 88% effective even during Delta's peak:https://www.washingtonpost.com/conte...-2744e4e25f2e/

Vaccine is close to 100% when it comes to preventing severe illness and death:https://www.kff.org/policy-watch/cov...om-the-states/

The only real variable or cause for concern here is the emergence of a variant that is more effective at spreading, and since the vaccine is not 100% effective breakthrough cases are inevitable. But this is simply severe binary thinking where something must be either perfect or useless.

Vaccines don't reduce transmission? Demonstrably BS. There are studies which show that vaccines reduce transmission in the community:

1. This study shows that you halve the chances of the unvaccinated returning a positive test when you pass the 20%, 40% etc. vaccination thresholds:https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01407-5

2. Healthcare workers, once vaccinated, halve the risk of infecting their households after two vaccine doses:https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1...275v1.full.pdf

3. Household transmission risk halved after vaccination:https://khub.net/documents/135939561...e-9c9b25a8122a

Vaccines directly contribute to herd immunity since you can't spread a virus anywhere near as effectively if your viral load is dramatically lowered and your infectious period shortened. Your risk of catching it is also lowered if everyone else is vaccinated.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

Nutsy, that's a strawman argument. These vaccines were sold as "preventing" COVID - there was no caveat. The claim was complete resistance to contracting and spreading COVID-19. They revised the narrative iteratively to fit the developing failure of these vaccines.

There are vaccines that are nearly 100% effective - rabies, tetanus, etc. Effectiveness wanes after at least a decade, not a couple of months. These vaccines also do not have the horrible side effect profile associated with the COVID vaccines.

Sorry Nutsy, but you're wrong on this one. The shots are trash.

It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.
