That's all there is to it.

But please keep on hopping from one rationalization to another, from Ukraine being a failed state that divided its people, to something about nazis and now about not wanting to fund this war.

There's no hopping. Literally all those are true.

Putin is very rapidly losing both hard and soft power. After getting routed by Ukraine with no response, countries smell blood in the water and no longer fear Russia.

- China and India clearly sees a weak Russia. Both Xi and Modi this week publicly talked down to Putin like he's some low status peon.

- Internal factions and public figures inside Russia getting bold enough to openly call for Putin's resignation/overthrow. Terrorist attacks increasing inside the country. A once stable Russia, is now unstable.

- Putin losing his grip over the former USSR countries he had major influence in, they're descending into chaos and defiance. Kazakhstan openly becoming hostile towards Russia and Xi warning Putin to stay out of Kazakhstan's affairs. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan clashing

At the same time America's soft power is rapidly increasing. The world sees Russia's military getting decimated with only a tiny fraction of the U.S. Defense budget and now some countries are realizing that the United States military is more powerful than they thought. When countries realize that no one can challenge the United States, policies are created by those countries that are more favorable to the U.S. and our interest, which increases our influence/power in the world.

There has been careful curating of your position. You've denied 3 very strong points that were seemingly obvious before the war started. All three were well reported with the third being an overall agreement that war is bad.

Compound that with the obvious blackout of the conditions of the battlefield and what is actually happening there, you have your position.

1. Ukraine had significant corruption issues and banded a very rough coalition of government.
2.The Donbas lost 14k citizens since 2014. Shelling of citizens continues with no interest in who is doing it. The Azov BN has been on that line since and many countries to include our declared them a threat. Civilized countries refused to train and arm them.
3. We're funding a war against another world power that does not offer significant position to the US and potentially breaking Europe in the effort.

Again I ask. My estimate is in the 15k Ru to 200k Ukr KIA comparison. How much is too much? 20k to 300k? 25k to 400-500k?

Russia has only gotten more lethal as we have progressed. This isn't a claim of pride, approval, or otherwise applaud. It is a statement of fact and we are pushing these men to die. The effort is fruitless so far as I can tell.

How much is too much when the outcome can only be worse the longer it continues in Ukraine blood and sovereignty?

China and India have assisted in 50% of what Russia would have lost in oil exports being lost from sanctions effectively ensuring Russia's economic survival.

So adjectives are really cool but actions are what they are.

This entire thing is going sideways and needs to stop.

In an invasion started by Russia, and 10-11k of that 14k were combatants.

The US strengthened its positions in Europe, gained some much needed good boy points on a global scale and gave credibility to NATO. Also disencouraged China from trying to pull chit in Taiwan. If they see that the US will open its pockets to curbstomp Russia - which doesn't pose any threat to the US and is strategically mostly irrelevant - then they can be sure that chit will go down if Taiwan, which is crucial to them is threatened. Then there's also the part where they have driven global demand for US MIC products, after everyone saw that Russia's toys are hilariously worthless. All this with zero threat to American lives, shipping over outdated stuff that was just collecting stuff and a rounding error in your annual military budget.

Your "estimates" still don't mean chit, they're based on nothing besides what has been revealed to you in a dream. There is also simply no logical explanation why the Russians are still struggling after 7 months when they allegedly massacre the Ukies 10/20:1.

Demonstrably false. In the beginning days the US and pretty much everyone predicted the Ukies to fold, they have even offered to evacuate Zelensky, yet the Ukies stood their ground. It's a flat out lie that the Ukies are being forced to do all this against their will.

*some retarded rhetorical questions bla bla the usual, oh my bleeding heart*

And as usual, you STILL refuse to acknowledge the very obvious option: Russia stops this meaningless chit and heads home. (I mean there was also the option not to start the - second - invasion, but something something forced to do it, NATO aggression, whatever.)

Russia simply does not have an exit strategy where they won't be utterly fuked:

- two main exports were petro and defense industry, both are tanked
- economy wholly reliant on Western tech and parts, gone as well, no replacements and refunds, imports from pretty much everywhere have tanked
- NATO is stronger and more unified than ever before
- complete pariah state that not even India and China want to touch, all their political goodwill is gone, CSTO has collapsed and they're being erased as a regional power as we speak
- brain drain turned up to eleven

And that's not even including the incalculable cost of the invasion itself. They have been constantly losing equipment - and trained troops - they will never be able to replace.

America is getting significantly weaker.

They have ahrmed their main allies in Europe and pushed Indian, China, Russia and Iran together.

Stop what, taking the Donbas and keeping Crimea? Something that could have been negotiated without bloodshed.

Military isn't happening unless we get involved directly so lets remove defeat there. Our diplomatic fukery seems to be screwing over Europe pretty good, not seeing defeat there. I'm not seeing the play here short or long term.

I don't think Russia is looking to go back to any previous agreements and has accepted this course. They've put Wagner all over in developing nations and I assume they'll make up their other half of sales needed there, all under the influence of China as they extract resources.

I'm just not seeing it and the most ironic point is that it will be mostly non-white nations banding.

I missed your war dead estimates. Did you post it up?

"What does Ukraine being horribly corrupt having to do anything with the war?"
It has to do with media laying out the facts for Americans to make an informed decision to support or not support the war. It directly points to the second point following this one and precisely who was involved in that fighting on the Ukrainian side.

"In an invasion started by Russia, and 10-11k of that 14k were combatants."
Correct. Thanks for biting and highlighting indiscriminate combat. Another point to weigh in the media ignored.

Russia just going home
As far as the war dead estimates, knowing how the fighting is going will let us American citizens know the risk to reward factor. Somehow we don't have the courage to ask in the media or for the government to say specifically how its going. If Russia has lost 3-5k troops and you actually saw Ukrainian armor in those pictures, you'd feel the same about your irreplaceable statement? I'm telling you the situation is grim. It is not as purported. Why would they "just go" when they are dominating the battlefield and they keep sending thousands more fist over fist to die weekly?

So answer the question. If I am right, is it worth it?

On China and Taiwan
You do understand we just potentially escalated that entire situation for no reason? The current political party in power is holding on at what 51-52%? The other 48-49% is looking to rejoin China.

So I understand the strategic need to fight for Taiwan due to our inability to provide for ourselves but I'm not sure escalation may be the right move there unless our intent is to fight no matter what happens. Politically a vote can happen and they are China proper near instantly.

On NATO
For Europe's participation in the US's foreign policy, Europeans are suffering and can only suffer more. The governments will have to survive a period of time until they transition from eastern energy. A highly dangerous gamble. Don't be surprised when you see weapons in Ukraine seized by Russia on the streets during the turmoil.

I spoke to energy export. You have no rebuttal because there is no debate. As far as arms export, we'll see how that shakes out in the end. I don't have insight into it but you bring up an excellent point about them possessing weapon industry.

Still amusing that the retard crew was military experts just a few days ago is back to being foreign policy experts. The "expertise" always seems to follow whether the media says Ukraine is winning a counter offensive or not. Anything to convince yourself that your team is winning.

We isolate Russia and empower China, India is neutral and independent. But in regards to threat China has proven much more adversarial than Russia. I'm not sure why we do not have the fortitude to declare both adversaries, protect our sovereignty by producing goods we've become reliant on, and trade with both equally with our interest in mind. It's remarkable we allowed China to leach us into a superpower while becoming cripplingly dependent.

1.False “We highly appreciate the balanced position of our Chinese friends in connection with the Ukrainian crisis. We understand your questions and concerns in this regard,” Putin said in prepared remarks. “During today's meeting, of course, we will explain in detail our position on this issue, although we have spoken about this before.”

Modi "I know that today's era is not an era of war, and I have spoken to you on the phone about this,"

Xi "We should support each other's efforts to safeguard security and development interests, prevent external forces from staging colour revolutions, and jointly oppose interference in the internal affairs of other countries under any pretext.....zero-sum games and bloc politics"

War is not good for anyone's business although the two are the second and third largest customers.

2. There is no indication other than a Chechen warlord being allowed to gather infantry volunteers. A seemingly by design calculation. Seems counter to Putin's current strategy. This will increase Russian losses dramatically. I'm watching others process it. It may be organic and a threat to the government, likely not. As far as local politicians speaking out, it's just that. Otherwise there isn't disagreement on the war, there is a disagreement on the amount of force to use.

3. That's a Turkey/Iran problem. Russian high level involvement only damages position with either. They are neutered to influence the situation. The US got them by the balls on that one.

Your superior intelligence is not curious as to the statistics of this war.

"make an informed decision" - you invading your neighbour and starting to kill civilians under some bullchit pretense means that the people side with the invaded. That's all that is needed to make an informed decision. Ukraine being corrupt and having "nazis" in their army are issues in peacetime but become utterly irrelevant the moment the missiles start flying.

That is simply not the case and hasn't been the case ever since the Kiev "feint" and especially not after the recent developments. No need to try the "well they could, they just won't", "it's all according to plan" angles again.

For whom? Ukrainians are fighting for their existence so I guess the answer for them is yes but obviously it's up to them to decide.
Zero risks for the US and I have already said what they can gain from it.
Also outlined how it's definitely not worth it for Russia, maybe don't ignore those parts.

So I understand the strategic need to fight for Taiwan due to our inability to provide for ourselves but I'm not sure escalation may be the right move there unless our intent is to fight no matter what happens. Politically a vote can happen and they are China proper near instantly.
There is overwhelming support among the people to stay independent, and that hasn't changed a bit in decades. Desire to reunification is currently at a record low. Wholly delusional/flat out lie to suggest that they're close to a tipping point. US didn't escalate chit, China has been threatening to take Taiwan for 70 years or so and has been making moves to build up its fleet and whatnot.

Sure, the situation for Europe is difficult and will stay like that for a while, good thing there are allies and partners. No idea why weapons seized by Russia would turn up in Europe, but ok. Let's chalk it up as another bullchit Russian threat.

Russia's weapon industry is completely toast, they can't produce chit. And even if they could, nobody wants to buy their stuff because A: as everyone can see they're extremely chit and B: they don't want to get sanctioned. Even their alleged big buddy India noped out of several deals.
