Your conception of narcissism could use some tweaking. Narcissists are among the most self-critical people around and detest weakness within themselves, which is why when they externalize it, they can be downright vicious. They can't tolerate humanity within themselves or anybody else. One way that a really high-level bodybuilder could be a narcissist is that he/she absolutely can't stand what he/she sees in the mirror and go through tons and tons and tons of work to make sure that there are fewer and fewer and fewer weak spots. But there will always be blind spots. In this case, it might be in the realm of art, philosophy, or a relationship where the other person actually dares to assert their own needs. If such a person somehow, deliberately or not, exposes a narcissist's blind spots to them and the narcissist, figuratively, sees a reflection of themselves that they don't like, uh oh, the person who exposed that is really going to need to watch out, because that's when the narcissist will get downright vicious.

The was my exact thought when I saw the title of this thread (except I wouldn't say Jesus Christ).

I know a competitive bb who dated other competitive bbs and the narcissism went off of the charts. There were 2 today at my outing and the woman wore a tight top to show off her implants and muscular arms and the dude also wore a tight top.
