Unless you'd like them to take 3 seasons worth of material and slam it out in 10 episodes and then complain about it the same way everyone complained about GOT being rushed.

Haven't watched, the trailers already made it look trash and thats not even because of the woke crap they've inserted in.

Sounds like this show follows established canon less than the Shadow game series. The movies change a ton of stuff from the books as well but follow the general plot line fairly well.
This supposedly takes place during the 2nd age. That entire plot point of the 2nd age in the Silmarillion is about the rise and fall of Numenor and the noontide of the elves, having most of their old lands destroyed at the end of the first age.

I was wondering - imagine the Elves had left and Sauron conquered all. Then what? I mean, eradicate humans/dwarves/elves, and all then that remains is under Sauron's domain.

What is it they want to do? Doesn't seem like they derive any pleasure in anything but killing the aforementioned.

Whereas if I was an elf...I could live 10,000 years smashing. Elves do smash, right? lol

Ok, first to answer an earlier question. Tolkien was a devout Christian. He led C.S. Lewis to christ who was an atheist at the time.

lol... there we lots of races of Orcs. I think Adar is lying about Sauron. After all. Adar caused the eruption of Mt. Doom and creation of Mordor.
At this point Sauron is known as Annatar, the giver of gifts and is a good looking kind kind guy who is going to befriend everyone and create the 19 rings off power with Elrond's friend Celibimbor.
To deceive them all.

The only thing in Arda capable of making the ONE RING is Mt. Doom. (Odorun)

So, it looks as if Adar made a home for the orcs who Sauron gave a languange and began to evolve them.


Tolkien gave two orgins for the orcs
1. made from captured and tortured elves who reproduced like men and elves.
2. Created from stone, slime, animals and other living things.

Orcs are considered Melkor's greatest sin.
The orcs hated Melkor, but served him.

Some orcs did fight against Sauron. We arn't sure when.

There may be some truth in what Adar said... but I think he and Sauron in cahoots.
