Its better than spectre imo. Yes the lesbian 00 and the gay Q (lol) is pretty cringe but overall its solid imo. The finale when they go to the villains hide out really harkens back to the old era of bond. Bad guy secret island. Loved it.

Someone mentioned the intrigue of the Connery films, FRWL is one of the best at it.
From Russia with love was by far the best novel, and the screenplay was one of the closest by far to the source reflecting that, except they made it even better by adding Spectre to it to play both the Russians and the British. They absolutely smashed it. Add to that no ludicrous villains, weapons or settings and it ranks well as a Hitchcock esque solid spy thriller of the period.

Craig was an awesome bond but Casino Royale is #1 followed by Skyfall.

The most recent one was a let down, 2.5" drama movie with a forced god awful horrible casted black girl to replace bond. Serious she was horrible to even watch just brutal.
Then make Q gay for nnnnnoooo reason other then being prochoice. such crap. Also filmed like it wasn't even HD.

They killed the real Bond character is the last one. You should enjoy all of the previous classics because we'll never get a Bond like that again.

Agree the last Craig movie was too woke and just a garbage story. The only cool thing about that movie was seeing Bond in retirement in his Jamacain house. That place was badass and a clone of Ian Flemming place and where he wrote some of the Bond material.

Cavill would make an awesome Bond. That's not the problem. The problem is we aren't confident Hollywood is capable of making a non-woke James Bond show anymore.

never understood the lack of love for octopussy. The set pieces and the dialogue are as good as any in the whole series.

it has been a while since ive watched the roger moore films but from what i remember they have a lot of 70s/80s cheesy comedy bits that really dont hold up well.

I personally find the movie to be too derivative.

1st Act - Retire but come back trope
2nd Act - Villian gets caught but was his whole plan all along like in The Dark Knight
3rd Act- Booby trap in Home trope

Many parts of the movie I found boring. It was very slow paced.
