Only when I start doing more than 1x a week and a whole bunch of sets. 3 sets a week doesn’t cause any pain. And I’m just replacing incline pressing with these, so not adding any volume

Your chest routine is solid and you don't need anything more. This is similar to what I've been doing for years.

OP's routine for anyone that missed it.

My chest routine’s pretty basic -

Bench (1 top set, 2 back off sets)
Dips or incline bench (1 top set, 2 back off sets)
Flys (1 top set, 2 back off sets)
National Level Competitor (Female BB)

nice job but I'd rather stick to barbell movements, you even admitted you are getting shoulder pain from these. Das not it man

Ty Kim, good to get some positive feedback. I’ve been doing this 1 top set/2 back off sets for pretty much all my lifts, and been getting good results without much fatigue/aches and pains

Damn brah absolute unit. I think I only ever got to 70lbs added for a few good reps. You're on another level. The depth too...

Same happened with me. Tried doing 1 day heavy and 2nd day high reps. Ended up nagging my shoulders too Also ended up getting chostocondritis too from pushing the reps past fatigue and letting go of my form just to get them done. That was fun haha

Strong af Ash looking great!
Holy chit kimm. That form and control. I guess I didn't expect anything less though.

Appreciate it my bro, hope your bulk is going strong. I remember a few years ago we had the winter bulk thread that we were all hyped about lol

I got the exact same thing, chostocondritis but from OHP. Had my rib cage erupt in pain and thought I was having a heart attack lol. Comes back once a year and can’t even breath/cough when it happens
