Nice! You've got some Wu Tang vibes going on there, I like it. This beat would sound awesome with an MC on it.

On spread, so I'll rep you when I can.

Your production quality always amazes me. Dayum. That's exactly what I said when I played this back. Next level stuff. The orchestral part is insane and the chants take me to another realm.

Was afraid to click on this link, never seen this site before lol. That was ill srs. Especially for someone that doesn't typically use samples, you flipped that expertly.

Nice! Those vinyl drums fit over the top perfectly and the cheeky horn was a nice touch. You didn't make this in Audacity, surely?

there's a ton of effects to use in audacity like trim, change pitch, eq, add reverb etc. It was really easy to get it down im surprised you guys think it would be more challenging.

Haha dope. I can't identify where any of those chops are at in the og song. I went through it a few times... it's so cool to see what other people can create out of the same sample.

There are a lot of DAW choices. Baby steps brah. Pick a DAW and youtube is your friend. In a few months it won't seem as overwhelming.

Do you play an instrument at all? Not that you need to, just wondering...

This is dope, as expected! I like the scratching, I tried to add some to mine, but it sounded wack, lol. Is that vocal sample Slick Rick? Mirin Pengh.

Post #41 there is a link to free DAW software MPC beats, there are heaps of youtube tutorials to help you get started, it can be overwhelming at first. I am familiar with the program so if you get stuck with any specific questions, I can help you out.

Thanks...... did you record the OG song from vinyl? I have recently started collecting again. I scored 2 crates full of records at a garage sale last week. Ukrainian girl that had her brother's records all from Europe. Lots of house/edm stuff but 40% is some dope hiphop and funky underground sht. That vocal sample i used was from one of the records... gravediggaz (prince paul / rza) It is a sample of a sample lol it might be slick rick originally.

I hate these fukin phones nowadays. No headphone jack. I don't have Bluetooth so unless i go out to my car, i can't listen. Phone speakers is not a proper review. I got a couple more to check out ^ above.

Yeah man, recorded from vinyl - pic of record in the OP.

Nice find, I get most of mine from the dollar bins in thrift stores (this one included). Most of the Euro dance music I have is p haggy Hi-NRG stuff, lol.

If you find a nice sample in your crates, upload it for beat battle #4

This is badass man, I love it. The mix is absolutely fine, I can't hear anything wrong with it. Feel free to include my track on your youtube. I can send you a wav file or 320k mp3.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

The only part of the original sample I used is the violin I chopped up that you can hear on its own in the first 4 bars, which then goes on throughout the track. I played all the other instruments myself on my MIDI controller using various NI Kontakt libraries. The strings, specifically, are played using the "Nucleus" and "LA Scoring Strings" Kontakt Libraries.
