When did everyone get so bloated? It’s literally MOST people. I can’t fathom walking out of my house looking like a pregnant man.
When you get older, your body is not growing much anymore and you do not need food.

So, you have to practically not eat and have a fasting diet with high protein or you must exercise like a beast.

I must do both or I will get fat.

Most of my eating day is spent, not eating and turning down preferred food for simple protein wads.

It's super hard to stay fit.

Again, as you get older all most people do is work, they have no hobbies, and so the only thing to enjoy is food. I make sure I exercise daily and work on artwork so that I don't have a life with no pleasure, then cave into eating.

I grew up in the 70's to 90's

There was plenty of fast food back then just like now and plenty of completely sedentary people including children

Many people today somehow think no one ate fast food or junk food back then and everyone was running around outside playing; not the case.

We had McDonalds, Hardees, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen, Little Caesars, Papa Johns, Taco Bell, KFC, and much other fast food and all sorts of store bought junk food on the regular and many kids were no more active then than today

but oddly they were mostly all still thin as a rail back then. Being obese or even overweight, or anything else other than completely skinny, in childhood years to 30 y/o was rare back then where being at least overweight is the norm now in the 15-30 y/o crowd

Interesting, I don't buy people not being more active prior to the 2010's unless you're unaware of current youth & lifestyles as a senior citizen

The vast majority of people, especially young ones today, spend their time in front of LED screens; it's rare I see a kid outside with any regularity

By contrast I spent the entire 90's outside with friends, only time we were not physically moving was at late night

I know there have been fast food places for a long time but all the boomers I've spoken to about this all say they ate out maybe once a week, otherwise they ate at home which means less calories

Also portion sizes were much smaller back then, they got bigger each decade and now 40oz+ sodas come standard(that's like 120g of sugar by itself)

Edit: people are simply taking in more calories than ever, they have to be

Pretty much this. He makes a good point, but kids these days have about an 80% reduction in physical activity than when I was a kid in the 90s/early 2000s. We spent all day outside playing every sport, playing smear the queer, and running around being creative. The entire neighborhood of boys and girls no matter how good or bad they were at sports were playing together. We used to have mass soccer games in a combined two front yards of two kids houses. Then we'd play ghost in the graveyard over an entire street with kids. Mass water balloon fights with kids and our parents over the entire street, we'd walk to go to Dairy Queen 3 miles away or ride our bikes there, our parent would take us to skate parks for the day or the dunes to do physical activities, we'd spend all day literally physically and mentally/creatively pushing ourselves to exhaustion. Then at night after we ate and swam or something we'd play video games and then go to bed.

99% of kids do not live that kid lifestyle anymore. It's gone. We honestly ate like chit a lot as kids but we were so active it meant nothing.

Kids really are screwed physically. I didn't have a phone until 16. These kids have tablets at 4 years old and phones by 9 or 10. I didn't even go on the computer often because it was so slow and such a pain in the ass.

Parents now have full responsibility over their child's well being and they are failing miserably.

You are full of sh!t.

Everyone was fat AS F@CK in the 70s with massive beer guts and people smoked like they were on fire.

All people did was eat, drink alcohol, and smoke.

Most of the fitness trends in the 80s and 90s were in response to how disgustingly out of shape people were.

I went to dominoes last night and got sick from the pizza. Fast food doesn't even taste right anymore. We've been cooking most of our meals at home and it doesn't make you feel sick and it's way better than anything you can get at a restaurant.

Yup I have a fond memory of cutting through the low corn fields as a shortcuts with my friends coming home from Dairy Queen and getting chased by the guys dogs. It was getting dark and we literally sprinted a half mile to get to the road and shake the dogs. Chit like that happened all the time. No kid was fat by us haha.

Yea that blows my mind how much tech these kids have now. Do these parents really not know how much damage they're doing to them? It's disturbing to me srs. I also will homeschool my kids seeing what my 2 younger cousins are exposed to in school over the years and consume on their electronics is insane.

A buddies friend's kid came home trying to search "cornhub" on his phone (kid is like 10) because he thought that's what all the kids were talking about in school. Didn't know it was pronhub.

This world is done.

Most people are just retarded animals who will keep stuffing their face as long as it's an option. But this is nothing new. It's been like this ever since junk food and sedentary lifestyles became possible for everyone

Dominos is not real Pizza.

All of the stuff places like that are selling factory made products they assemble in the store, so everything has a lot of additives.

In Philly where I live there's many restaurants and pizza places that make their own products. My gf's friend owns a pizza place and he imports everything from Italy and so you are eating an Italian pizza that happens to be made in the US.

If you want food you should try local restaurants owned by people, not companies.

It's weird man nobody i used to know cared about social media or phones. We were all outside all day, playing a sport or doing some kind of constructive hobby.

Clearly, this is the problem. Glad we have a resident astrophysicist to show us the way.

Since all manufacturing has gone to China, they must be colonized to remedy the situation.
