Anyone prefer fast food pizza to "authentic" Italian pizza?

Srs. I have had authentic Italian pizza in the Naples style. Its ok, but I would take Papa Johns or Pizza Hut thin crust over that any day

I hate doughy pizza and that's all I see from the chains. A solidly made NY style pie from the local pizzeria is GOAT.

I think I'd choose Jet's Detroit Style Pizza over anything else in the world that is referred to as "pizza"

You are nuts. If you said Americanized pizza, you could have a point, but to prefer Pizza Hut over Neapolitan is batchit crazy. I wouldn’t wipe my ass with that fuking trash.

To be honest I enjoy both. It just depends on the day and what I'm in the mood for.

Chicago brah here. I mean...people definitely over-hype it but I absolutely love deep dish. A lot of people that expect too much from it almost always end up underwhelmed it seems.

I just had a pepperoni deep dish pizza with butter crust from Lou Manati's, which I haven't had since spring, and I had a mouthgasm. They use California sweet tomatoes, the pepperoni is a perfect kick, and the buttercrust brings the slight buttery flavor to every bite. It's perfection.

ive had chitty variations of “deep dish” but I know the real **** is in chiraq

I’m 90% certain I prefer thin slice pizza over thick ass deep dish but I need to try some Lou manatis or another respectable institution (srs)

It's because it's loaded with fat. Bad fat taste amazing. .. that's why it's addictive. Good quality food tastes amazing but if your brain is addicted to nasty fat then you think it's "lacking" something.

I was trying to think of the name of the place, and that's exactly it! Lou Manati's changed my life srs

Yea Lou's or Gino's East if you come to Chiraq. Or Giordano's.

I prefer thin crust most of the time, especially pepperoni slices, but a deep dish every now and then is just glorious. It's just different idk.

Yea dude I never had Lou's until I was around 21. Always just ate the local pizza places deep dishes, which were still good, but the first time I had pepperoni butter crust with those sweet tomatoes/sauce....it was as if God winked at me and said "enjoy."

A lot of people I know don't like Lou's either. I guess it is love/hate type of thing....and I love it.

This is just crap you are used to.

I rarely eat it and can taste the artificial "flour" kind of taste chain pizzas have. It's like a packaged cupcake with sauce on it.

There is no way that a homemade pizza with real herbs, garlic, basil, and actually aged cheese doesn't taste better.

It's not possible that a packaged pizza tastes better than one with fresh ingredients.
