Well... there isn't too much to clear up any more now that the reporters noted that they got it wrong. How do you get the body cam footage anyway? Can anyone put in a request for it? Obviously there will be many attorneys and such fighting for it. They released his DUI footage, so clearly it can be gotten... but what is the process for it?

The security footage, and the body cam footage would clear everything up 100%. Or do you just want us all to take Pelosi's husband's word? Because I'm sure he's an honest man......

Once again...howdo you get the footage? You're a cop, I thought you would have the answer. My understanding this that there needs to be a public records request... and this will only get approved if it doesn't potentially jeopardize an investigation which usually causes a delay. But maybe you know something I don't...

I never said that... I said there is no need for Pelosi to release his own security footage to satisfy CTers... I would lose respect for anyone who succumbs to that kind of pressure from crazies. They don’t have a choice anyway. When it’s submitted as evidence in the case, it will become public. It’s typically in the best interest of the victim to release it though, so if it’s not being released, then you know something is up.

If releasing the body cam footage jeopardizes an ongoing investigation, then no, why should they release it? I believe they have held footage of shootings for that reason before. I know several police shootings have taken weeks or months to release the body cam footage. I think I've also recalled them releasing parts of a video that don't jeopardize the investigation while keeping the rest away from the public too. But no, if it jeopardizes an investigation it shouldn't be released.

Here is the federal criminal complaint. Haven't read it yet, but I saw on twitter he wanted to tie up Pelosi so he can go to sleep because he was tired of carrying his backpack all the way to the Pelosi residence.

"DePape explained he broke into the house through a glass door using a hammer. After he encountered Paul Pelosi, the Speaker’s husband managed to call police. When they arrived, both men were holding on to a hammer.
