As others have mentioned:

Generally speaking, if a person is good-looking, they'll have more options to socialize and pursue less geeky hobbies. A Chad might be into anime or videogames, but he also has a social life, so he's not hardcore into anime or videogames - he's just a casual fan.

Whereas guys who are ugly have virtually no social opportunities, so they delve deep into anime and videogames to the point where they become hardcore fanatics.

Not all nerds are ugly, but all uglies are nerds.

Some nerds get deep into things like academics, computer programming, playing an instrument, and other intellectual sort of interests that help you succeed or accomplish things in life.

I'm a nerd, but I'd say a nerd is just an intellectual, while a geek is someone who has an eccentric interest in a niche hobby or something that leads to social ineptitude or an eccentric life.

Like the man who invented nuclear fusion is a nerd, while the man who neglects sleep, food, and work to watch anime is a geek.

Things like playing a bit of video games or going online are neither nerdy nor geeky anymore, just a part of normal society now.

Anime and videogames used to be something exclusive to the nerds, but is way too mainstream now. The Chads of Society get to dictate what is and what isn't nerdy.

You have World champion athletes, fighters, and Chads all cosigning animes and videogames, so we can no longer make that conclusion.

Whereas atheism will forever be for edgelords, midwits, losers, and dysgenic rejects.

**** this is especially brutal for DemFeelsBro.

Imagine ticking all the prerequisite boxes for being a nerd, on top of having a micropenis you furiously hope filled jelq in futility.

Imagine massaging your cock and doing exercises for hour on end for a centimeter of growth and then realizing you were just holding the measuring tape a little looser than normal.

The types of nerds that go to pokemon at midnight are ugly. The good looking ones are in bed with their wives/girlfriends.

Just as that miscer said on the first page....fantasy/escapism.

I went through periods of it with friends despite not being ugly or nerdy really. Got straight A's, played all the Pokemon games (even the card game), played people in Pokemon at the mall on weekends (srs), played Magic the Gathering and even went to tournaments to play up until freshman year of high school, etc.

I grew out of all that though. Same with video games.

I can almost say the same thing about video games, but too many miscers will get butthurt and explode at that.

The tall, thin blonde girl got out of there, went to a private university, and majored in exercise science. The square jawed Chad who the female teacher got nervous around went to a party college and studied finance before running through sloots (if his FB is any indication). There was about 20 dudes left, 0 girls, and at least half the dudes were ****** From the guys I've kept up with, probably half of us are still virgins in our late 20s.

Here's the thing about STEM, is it's actually not that fukking complex. Just walking down the street, I would guess that a quarter to a third of the people you see have enough raw intelligence to be engineerbrahs. It doesn't take a genius to solve an integral or write a for-loop in Python. What it does take is a lot of time and effort to practice those skills. STEM is a grind more than anything.

People who have fun chit to do with their time don't replace it with calculus homework. Beta males choose to because they a lower marginal utility of that time, if you will. They don't mind studying long hours as much, because their only alternative to it is jacking off and playing MMOs. Might as well try to earn some STEMbux, nomsayin.

This is also why STEM is an excellent 3rd world ****** pursuit. There are 4.5 billion people in Asia, and I'd guess that there's about 100 million Asian teenagers out there right now with enough natural aptitude to get a STEM job. If any of them want to leave their chithole countries, they can punch their ticket out simply by putting their heads down and studying more hours than you can. And lots of them don't mind doing it, because their alternative is chitting in a ditch.
Brootal but insightful analysis. On point.

I used to play an insane amount of video games. I was momentarily ranked in 2v2 with a buddy in Halo 2 (when 2v2 first became a thing online), but shortly after that we both just saw the time we were wasting to do other things.

It's not that I don't enjoy them, but rather it's the time playing them. Afterwords I just feel shame for spending my time doing that instead of something else more productive or beneficial. I mean you could apply that to a lot of things any one does in their free time, but that was one thing that couldn't stick anymore. I'm glad because it gave me my sleep back too haha

There's two types of nerds: the people who simply have an interest in nerdy chit, and the people who invade nerd culture and try to latch onto it as an identity because they're some unattractive loser who has nothing going for them.

Honestly, I see that a lot from competitive and hardcore gamers who seem to only play games for bragging rights, how good they are at them, or competition in general. If you just enjoy video games as entertainment and simply have fun with them at your own pace, it can be a good hobby. The people who take it too seriously often get burned out or lose interest, as you can only be into chit like that for so long, and they aren't really having fun just playing them casually.

When I turned 18 I got rid of my gaming PC and all consoles. Haven't owned one since. Haven't played a video game since save COD/Halo with a couple of buddies when at their house.

The reason is simple. I came to the conclusion that it wasn't a productive use of my time. Instead of being shut in my room with a pair of head-phones staring at a screen. I wanted to be out 'doing' things in the real world. While gaming seems 'fun' or entertaining on the surface. It in no way replaces real experiences.

I think most nerds never really have those real life experiences so gaming and/or engaging in fantasy activities is as good as it gets.

I thoroughly enjoyed RTS like Age of Empires and FPS like Call of Duty. But the amount of time it takes to be 'good' and not just get destroyed every match simply isn't worth the investment. If I get a free day I'm most likely going to hit the gym or maybe do a little bit of boxing, mountain biking, etc. Then either ride motorcycles or get out on the boat. Or maybe head to the range and do some shooting. When I'm done with that I'll head in and get cleaned up. Grab dinner with the GF and friends. Or maybe BBQ on the back patio. Or watch a movie as a group. Etc.

10x more social since I completely quit gaming. As far as other nerd activities I never participated.

Well that's exactly why I gave up on competitive gaming and building desktop gaming PC's. That chit is just far too much of a time sink, like any game that expects you to be playing online these days is basically a predatory experience meant to suck all your time away as it demands you to obsess over the game. Life is too short to have it revolve being good at a video game, and games are meant to simply be entertainment.

Is chess nerdy? I’ve been getting into chess lately and I don’t mind telling girls. Some think it’s hot cause of Queens Gambit, others still think I just let out a fart when I tell them.
One girl which MISC Platinum Discord said was real hot when I shared her picture, she randomly asked me during a date if I wanted to play chess at her apartment. “I was like wut? Have you been stalking me? How did you know I play chess?” She laughed and was like, I didn’t but my apartment complex has this cool chessboard in the lounge. She was a Misc 7.5/10 Persian girl doctor with perky C teddies. So it really doesn’t matter - at least with chess, women who were academics are going to appreciate intellectual pursuits.

Maybe you’re talking about pure geeky sh!t that’s not intellectual. I have two friends from law school who were absolutely into geeky chit. One was into comics and magic the gathering and he was the biggest slayer in our first year of law school and the older students were even remarking how he was fuking everyone (white guy, 6ft with blue eyes, brown hair and decent face). He treated the girls like garbage too and they still wanted him. He was into mosh pitting punk music too. Nothing about him was relatable to women. He had an 8/10 misc standard swimmer girlfriend at one point and bought her dozens of Betty & Veronica comic books for her birthday (that’s how clueless he was with women and it didn’t matter, they still stayed with him)

My closest friend was into comics and lord of the rings type of sh!t. He’s married now with kids but it didn’t stop him from getting into that Pokémon iPhone game that came out 5 years ago. He would get plenty of pussy (5’7 light skinned Cuban, decent face) but not as high quality pussy as the white guy. He was a very social person, life of the party and funniest guy I know to this day.

The white guy has little self-awareness about his nerdiness and went to launch parties and comic con and had his apartment decorated with marvel figurines, but it didn’t matter, he was still slaying blonde white girls one by one, having girlfriends while cheating on them, etc. His face wasn’t even that great, just average but he was white 6ft.

My Cuban friend had more social awareness and can handle personal relationships, so he likely wouldn’t go to that launch party or talk about it. But girls knew his interests.

Conclusion: it really doesn’t matter if you’re into nerdy sh!t. Face is all that matters, with height and race being beneficial factors. If you want to do nerdy chit, do chess or Marvel because there are women who like that stuff nowadays.

In the end though, all these niche interests are time wasters. Watching sports, playing chess or video games, comics and nerd chit. My biggest time waster is reading all the garbage on the MISC and writing long ass posts like this one. But if you like it then do it, just try to keep it in check.

Speaking from personal experience, I was pretty reclusive and withdrawn.

It's true, instead of socializing with people--where in a group setting create a culture of standards which may include expectations of physical hygiene/looks/behaviors--people like myself instead found entertainment through hermit-like activities such as games and shows. So I never got that cultural grooming of a preppy friend group to make me pay attention to my physical appearance growing up.

Then like attracts like and those who are on the fringes band together and that group creates their own culture which may set the standards of not dressing fashionably or disregarding looksmaxing.

I only started to do my hair nicely because my mom and sisters gave me chit about it and told me I looked like a witch among other things. In retrospect, I appreciate the harsh words.
