Can't wrap my head around the Big Bang Theory (SRS)
Not the TV show...
I understand that the Big Bang Theory is exactly that; a theory.
So, before space (or the modern day version of space that we know & understand) existed... & before the big bang supposedly occurred... what was there?
Literature tells us that all the matter in the cosmos existed in a form smaller than a subatomic particle.
I cannot even begin to fathom "nothing" existing, minus said particle... somehow resulting in a violent explosion that created the universe over the span of billions of years.
What in the actual F**k. Any smart guys around here care to help a dummy understand this theory better?

Imagine you're trying to jam your pork sword into some braindead sorostitute's meat wallet that night. You think you can just walk away from that?

The whole big bang theory is the ultimate scientific cop out srs
You mean to tell me ..lets say theres an empty room and all of a sudden there’s furniture?
No that’s insane thinking.
There is a creator. Im a firm believer our creator( God or however you want to call your creator) made us so we cannot comprehend how we came i to existence..otherwise we will go insane.

Actually, if the Big Bang is correct, then nothing is before the universe, since it analytically belongs to the definition of a singularity that it is the beginning of space and time.
That is to say, there is nothing temporally before the universe. Is there something metaphysically or logically prior to the universe? If one accepts the extension of causal reasoning, then yes, there would be a cause of the universe. But I don't consider it as an explosion since it's not a physical reaction from a material, it's the literal ontological creation of the universe. IMO, we need to pose the question of a universe cause in a philosophical way too.
There's the possibility, though, that a pre Big Bang model is true but an eternal past is still a tall order in light of that, since those models would at most move the beginning back, but not abolish it.

When man can't possibly explain something, its more comforting to make up a theory about subatomic particles exploding and forever expanding into nothingness.

You are your thoughts. Life is perception, thoughts are perception, perception is reality ergo thoughts are reality, I think therefore I am.

Another question to ask is because the universe is expanding, what's at the end of it? There must be a finite border, so what's past the end of space?

theyre just nerds running the equations in reverse.
you see someone blowing up a balloon and you run it in reverse. same thing
they dont really know what happened and most of them wont even admit aliens are real

keep it simple
we use only 2-3% of
our brains,let alone we understand
the universe and space and time, we cant
control our cells, nor heart,we cant stop time nor
we prevent our body decay...death is the only reality
we should accept and prepare for that blackout~!

What I don't get is that some people will say things like "yeah but if the big bang happened, then was caused it? Or what was before the big bang? That's why i think there's a god who created the universe" as if somehow they can't accept not knowing what's before so a creator solves it for them, yet they never seem to ask how their creator came into existence, or have any issue with the idea that the creator "was just there".

Supposedly there was no space, as we know it today. Just nothingness..
How does a subatomic particle stationed within nothingness generate enough power to result in a blast large enough to create the cosmos?

Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you.

To have some prior space or time you would need to remove the singularity from your cosmological model. There are pre–Big Bang cosmologies which attempt this, and quantum gravity models also eliminate that singularity. But whether they restore a past eternity is another question entirely.
That's not even the real mind-fuk for me. I read some time ago that out of all the possible ways a universe could exist, we only need a pocket of order the size of our solar system and the rest could be chaos. Why aren't we in that universe? Or why are we in an expanding universe, and not a contracting one? Imagine if we lived in a contracting universe and we knew at some time it would crunch every parcel of matter into oblivion. That would be a major threat to the sanity of humankind.
It seems the universe must be monumental in size, and be constantly expanding, to preserve the sanity of its inhabitants.
Back off, Warchild.

I just believe there are a lot of things out there we can't comprehend, be it spiritual, esoteric, extra terrestrial or scientific. Perhaps we are just atoms living on a cell of a much larger being then us. We will never truly know.

The Universe. Big Bang. God.
Whatever. Something had to exist from nothing and it's beyond our comprehension.
The Big Bang is somewhat observable, but what was before the big bang cannot be said or really theorized scientifically.
Loops within loops. Something was always eternal, or something came from nothing.
