I owned a condo for rentcel's to pay me every month. I was dating the current tenant at the time, and staying in the condo with her every couple nights. It was on the top floor, because F living on any other level.

The neighbors 2 or 3 floors underneath us had a fire and practically burned the building down. Firetrucks caused extensive water damage, and it took 4 years to restore. Every single tenant and owner was displaced and had to live elsewhere for those 4 years.

Trusting other people with your life and all your possessions is a rentcel condo gamble. If some Liberal gearbox in Canada makes it into my house, it's his/they/them's funeral.

1. If someone wants you dead.....they will get to you unless you have world class security detail. Most people dont fall into this category of need.
2. "Penthouse" typically means you own the WHOLE floor bro. You know how I know you actually have never lived in the penthouse of a building?
3. A real man takes care of his own family's welfare (unless you are famous). You can have cameras surrounding your property too and live in a neighborhood with good police response. LOL at relying on some rent a cop security guard at a building.
4. My family has a plan from every angle of the house and knows what to do in case of an "incident". It has been tested and turned out to be a false alarm but I was pleased to know my wife and kids acted exactly as we planned.
