It sounds like Starbucks, which would likely attract starry eyed pussies, is having a hard time hiring/retaining employees because sometimes they actually have to work hard.

EXACTLY. That isexactly what people are doing. Workers are quitting Starbucks en masse all across the country. This lead to the company being chronically under staffed. Judging by your posts in the RP you are a smart dude so I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, but this here is such a chitty take. Workers are worth what they can negotiate from their employer. You don't get to decide an arbitrary worth based on your subjective idea of how easy or unimportant a job is, and decide some random employee somewhere doesn't "deserve" a certain salary.THAT is Marxism.

Marxism would be when the government comes in and takes control of Starbucks and standardizes wages. Capitalism isexactly what is happening right now; workers deciding they arn't paying enough and demanding better wages, or quitting(which they are doing en masse)

You are the type of guy to walk out during a sunday lunch rush because you couldn't handle getting yelled at by your 5th Karen of the day because you added the wrong syrup because you are mad and flustered you had to delay your smoke break by 10 minutes because it's busy.

It's a real grind and a gauntlet for sure. Supervision and management is the only thing that can make it somewhat bearable and if those two suck than it's truly a miserable time.

I had three supervisors who bullied me for a while, until I started to get along really well with one when he realized we liked the same music. The comradery was the only thing that got me through through shifts sometimes, srs.

You don't think people who work full time making billions for starbucks deserve to sleep indoors and eat food? If you don't want starbucks to pay for their own workforce to live, that leaves 2 options:

1. Taxpayers should pay the cost of living for starbucks' employees instead and make sure they survive.

2. To ensure Starbucks profit margins are protected, cut all social nets and turn the US into a poverty chithole country like literally every single like country (e.g. India). Dump tens of millions of people into the street and wish them the best of luck with their favela building goals of 2023.

Yeah, I did.

Most Starcucks stores have a thin path where the coffee is brewed, lattes are made, and orders are taken. It's as narrow as a trench. Yes, there's a pocket for the drive thru area for orders to be stored, room for workers to take orders, and to hand them out, but yeah it's as thin as a trench.

I've worked fast food before, but I was 16 at the time. The only thing hard about the job was the monotony. You got to toughen up man. Lol at PTSD from a tour of duty at Starbucks.

Prior to that I had been applying to jobs since 15 years old, but none of them wanted to hire someone under 16yo unless they had connections. Let's not mince words. Being a barista, which is made up BS, lets call it what it is, being a Starbucks cashier is not hard work.

Here's the truth of the matter, Dunkin Donuts makes all their food and drinks from scratch, but you never hear them complain, meanwhile Starbucks just microwaves premade food, and makes their drinks just like Dunkin donuts, but they're constantly complaining about how hard their job is. It's not a hard job, which is why it pays $15/h, not hard physically, or mentally. Starbucks is shyt quality, tan by trannies, and I don't care if they strike indefinitely.

Here's the truth of the matter, Dunkin Donuts makes all their food and drinks from scratch, but you never hear them complain, meanwhile Starbucks just microwaves premade food, and makes their drinks just like Dunkin donuts, but they're constantly complaining about how hard their job is. It's not a hard job, which is why it pays $15/h, not hard physically, or mentally. Starbucks is shyt quality, tan by trannies, and I don't care if they strike indefinitely.

So now you're comparing different positions in different companies???

One is busier than the other for starters and one allows more drink customizations than the other. I don't care about the pay, trannies or whatever little reach you're using because you can't stand to be wrong.

We're not talking about being a cashier you dense little 3rd world man..We're talking about being a BARISTAwhich covers being a Cashier, Drive Thru Window, Front Register, or Bar operator.

Realistically a fully staffed floor involves 6-7 Baristas.

A Barista is a general term to describe anyone who works Register, Drive Thru, Hot Bar, Cold Bar, and Store support. Are you getting it now you dense phuckaroonie???



One of us has experience working in this environment and the other doesn't. Can you guess who has zero clue what they're talking about?
