Once you get older, you stop caring about other people.

You learn that some people want to be your friend because you have something they want or what you can do for them.

I just stick with family and a few friends that I have had for long period.

I see it all day, try and make plans with people and there's always some fukkin excuse. No wonder dudes are so lonely and miserable.
I have a buddy that always has to ask his wife if he can go somewhere. After a while of dealing with that and his politics talk i just stopped hanging out with him.

There is an old French book called A Rebours, translated to english Against Nature. Its about this rich dude that lives this extravagant lifestyle. Has all this artificial stuff created specifically for his desires, custom perfumes, tropical plants from exotic lands, has a pet tortoise whos shell is full of exquisite jewels etc. he just gets worse and worse until the artificial fragrances and everything are no longer enough, and he moves “past” the artificial stuff to the real stuff which he realizes is actually better. Kind of funny though how this old book mimics how our society is nowadays.

I actually love doomer threads. Why? because everyone deep down knows how fked we are in terms of a societal shift, Some of you are clueless but most of you know but keep grinding with what you have. The pressure on men to succeed has never been higher. I watch alot of vids on the attack on masculinity and men in general. Young boys are the main target though. The indoctrination to zap masculinity from boys is REAL. Ive seen threads on here dealing with toxic working environments, Marriage/divorce rates, men opting out. Gen Z boys. The list goes on and before someone starts banging on about " Well bro just do the work and get into the top 20% " We are talking about the Majority here. Better Bachelor is one of the best along with Coach Greg Adams that talks about this **** in depth. They may be boomers but there analysis is on point

As usual though most wont give a fk until it hits your family (Brothers, cousins ) indirectly or when its too late (Societal collapse) As a black brah there is a blatant agenda to go after White men in all corners of society. They want you on your hands and knees while POC and women stand on the pedestal. Of course you will be blamed regardless but its no surprise WM are at the forefront in quitting clown world. -

In terms of consumerism, loneliness, emptiness, superficiality, yes. Probably mental illness too. But at the same time nobody really had time for mental illness back in the days.

However, at least we don't have to worry about the black plague wiping out 60% of the population, being burned on the stake on some spanish inquisition chit, enemy nations plundering your land, large scale famines, kings taking your chit on a whim, becoming a slave-cel to build some ancient pyramids.

from that standpoint, life is actually pretty good right now. society may be increasingly more vapid year by year, but it's up to you to create fulfillment and meaning to it all. Instead of whining and complaining, you can take action and there is a way (or multiple).

we are animals that are meant to live in and be close to nature. none of that exists now. sure you can call out that stuff, but they are random events that occurred. there were a lot of peaceful periods during each of those times. the word consoomerism sums it up pretty good.
