Supps for stress/anxiety....

Does anything legit make a difference? I need to tame this crap. Stuff's going on that "powering through" just will make people's lives around me worse and nothing can really be done about the situation.

Started taking ashwagandha, going to order l-theanine, probably pick out a good vitamin d+k2 and zinc+copper next.

In before "just meditate and practice mindfulness man. Also do a gratitude journal!" Lol.

kratom shots. But from a good/higher price brand at a smoke shop, not the gas station stuff. Only thing that has worked for me, everything else is crap that you mentioned.

Shots? They do sell kratom everywhere here. I hear withdrawals are a kunt but I'm tempted to give it a go.

I’ve used Ashwagandha off and on, that works incredibly well.

Prescription Propranolol works like a charm too, I’d ask your dr about it.

Yes, shots. I take MIT45 shots (not the red bottles) and it is the only thing that has not only helped, but helps any physical pain). Withdrawals only happened with the powder stuff for me, it makes it much harder to know the exact doses you're getting. Terrible nausea. Same goes for if you take too much

Idk. I’ve never felt an effect from anything, I’ve tried taking like huge ass doses of high withanoid or whatever ksm66 ashwaganda and never noticed anything.

Actually I did notice an effect from kava, akin to having a beer or two, but the downside was feeling like you drank a gallon of nasty root paste water

If you’re a tea drinker, you could try Kava tea. Don’t know the science of it but it did seem to mellow me out a bit. It has an acquired taste though…

St John Wort

Over the counter at any drug store in the vitamins aisle. And yes it works.

Also i suggest sleeping with a weighted blanket. 25lb if you can find one. Most are lower.

Spoiler!
Also do a gratitude journal!

I just drink alot.

Also take time to process your negative emotions, the stress and depression will slowly lift once you figure out where the fear is originating from.

Its a way of taking back control of yourself, you feel stress when you feel like you have no control over your thoughts

If you just suppress those feelings through distraction or w/e then they will keep influencing your behavior

Not against that stuff, and by nature I'm constantly reminded how lucky I am in life. Unfortunately that stuff doesn't help the acute side of this. :-/

I honestly find self-talk quite powerful, got my own mantra that I’ve used for years and just saying it out loud on the drive to work feels calming and creates a bit of euphoria

Thank you. There's no depression fortunately, but I really do need to examine the surrounding situations for the leadups and triggers to find a way out.

Spent time trying to identify negative subconscious thoughts flying through my brain and what to say to turn them around. If you sit and try to recognize what’s going through your head, self-doubt or fears or whatever, you might be surprised.

Started out by writing it down too, again and again until I believed it. Writing it down feels very visceral and draws my focus outward rather than inward, and I’d use a pencil because the feel of pencil lead on paper helped drive it home (srs)

Thanks, I appreciate the insight. I came in with some preconceived notions and stuff, but I'm ready to drop all that and try this side out, srs. My lady uses a journal and she's been egging me to try and I think it's about time I did.

This is a big part of CBT and definitely very helpful as well. Once you really try to get to the root of your issues you will understand your triggers and how they're pretty much irrational. Healthy supplements combined with CBT is the most effective way to really get rid of social anxiety imo.

I think researching CBT was how I ended up with that process. Now when I feel stressed or anxious about something, I can say this stuff out loud and legit feel endorphins flowing. It doesn’t eliminate anything completely, but it massively reduces and makes it much more controllable.
