These kind of kids never amount to much. They burn out before they are old enough to drink.

There's a lot to being a well adjusted person. You can't just skip over stuff.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

They put him in a private school and for a bright, smart, fast learning 9 year old to be able to level up to a 12th grade grad of the US HS program isn't all that surprising. In fact, there are a lot more kids like him but they are bogged down by a school system that is so full of BS that has nothing to do with education. If he went to a regular school, chances are he would be wierd to most kids and as a result would be bullied by some "ODD Disorder" idiot and have other kids on him until he would dumb it down so he could fit in well enough to survive.

I don’t know how true it is but one my college professors went on an in depth rant about how these wonder kids often end up with bad substance abuse issues, essentially said they’re too smart to function in society.

I agree with this. Its still impressive on the kids part, but it would happen more if we let it.

Or just haven’t had the chance to acclimate to society at large, thus remaining an outlier.

That, or they are put on a pedestal as a child but when the reality most of them will not really accomplish anything of note sets in, so does depression and everything bad that comes with it.
