Therefore all aid and help should be given to help those in need and to clean it up asap.

But by you and Benny saying "no.....let the city or the state or the railway clean it up and the Feds don't need to get involved"....then you are 100% making it political because Biden is a Dem and Ohio is red and if the situation was reversed (blue state and Red POTUS) IMO you would be all about sending Fed aid.

Whereas I say it shouldn't matter at all what color you are. Just go help them with anything and everything.

I mean....why is the Feds getting involved even in dispute here? This is a no brainer. Clean it up!
I'll take your word on the hypothetical, no way for me to argue against it.

But, you can go back and read my posts about this train derailment. They are all still there. The political discussion I've had was regarding the claims that Trump's deregulation contributed to this and I pointed out he really didn't have anything to do with it.

The only other point I've been making is that I don't believe FEMA should necessarily be handing out cash grants in East Palestine. It's been shown it's not their role in these situations, maybe that will change, but FEMA grants kick in after private insurance settlements are complete. In the mean time, there has been zero problems with getting resources for the cleanup, which is obviously the first priority.

I corrected your mistake conflating the EPA with FEMA. Deal with it.

What's lame is brushing it off as "semantics" instead of acknowledging the error.

Yep, I can own that mistake. Doesn’t change the fact that you leftists were all about the federal government not helping the people of EP. Your position on that is well documented ITT.

Whatever 'tard... Congrats. But him confusing one government agency with the one you absolutely positively did not want in Ohio is not the "gotcha" moment that you so desperately want it to be.

One. More. Time.

You did not want ANY government involvement in Ohio.

Try harder dumb dumb.

The government not immediately pouring cash handouts on the problem does not equal the government not being involved at all. I know, I know, that's just confusing you with "semantics".

You're so caught up in whatever the fuk you're arguing about that you can't even keep your thoughts straight in a single post.

How can you not agree with this?

If the war expands into the EU, this is going to be a lot more costly than merely taking it to Putin in a satellite state. US equipment is a far more cost effective deal than US lives. In terms of proxy wars, it's with a nation historically on a fairly good terms with us and happily stable.
Back off, Warchild.

Uh oh....
East Palestine residents seeing outreach from FEMA, CDC after derailment

Federal teams including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be on the ground in East Palestine, Ohio this weekend conducting door-to-door outreach to support residents impacted by the train derailment.

Sorry 'tard, better luck with your partisan outrage goals for the remainder of 2023 though.

Got me dude... it's almost like there should be a government agency that could help with things like that.

FEMA's Fundamental Role:

Our Agency is one player on a large team collaborating to build a more resilient
Nation. We provide a platform for people to build relationships, gather and share
information, and think holistically about disasters. We lead by supporting,
coordinating, and managing personnel, assets, and information. We also offer
tools, guidance, and resources to help individuals and communities review, build,
and continuously improve their own capabilities.

It's disposed of at EPA licensed facilities. The water is treated/filtered, the dirt is contained. Link the article you read, the one I read explained it in the article.

The state's mostly seem upset about the optics after the incessant screeching and overreaction from the American public who can't deal with this stuff anymore.

Some TX official regarding the waste water being shipped to a facility there:
...although there’s no legal requirement for her office to be notified, “it doesn’t quite seem right.”

It's because you have no ****ing idea whats going on.

Not only are you ignorant of basic facts regarding the names of various responding agencies and their roles, you completely missed that this all started because Ohio's governor didn't want to formally declare an emergency unless it led to financial assistance (this means "money" if you didn't know) from FEMA.

Financial compensation to the residents of East Palestine was what the Fox News article in this OP was about:

Ok... and that's bad because?

Maybe FEMA could have agreed to come have a look. And maybe after FEMA would have came and had said look, then they decided no financial assistance.. Worth a look though, right?

But maybe they came and saidyesto financial assistance??
