The FBI has had moderate confidence since 2021. I know that upsets you though, because you're still dickriding the natural origin scientists who:

-Were initially 70-30 or 60-40 in favor of lab leak
-Then met with Fauci and Collins who pressured them into natural origins
-Then prepared the draft for The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2 by Feb 3, 2020
-Then were each awarded $9 million in additional research grant money

The big deal with the Energy Dept is that they were previously undecided, and apparently they have seen new evidence coming out of the Chinese CDC (according to CNN) that has flipped them from undecided to lab leak with low confidence.

Additionally, aside from US Intelligence, I hope they declassify and provide fully unredacted emails from Fauci and Collins in the NIH. We most likely haven't seen them all. Some have been unredacted, but I believe even after the second batch, there are still plenty of redactions.

I just listened to Hawley again in that twitter clip, and they want to declassify all the information the federal government has on origins of Covid. So hopefully that includes all the redacted information from Fauci + Collins emails, NIH, as well as DARPA, DoD, etc.

I've been asking to see the evidence ever since this debacle kicked off earlier in the week. I've seen nothing. Nothing tangible and certainly nothing with a remote degree of scientific rigour. Instead, I've been insulted and Anachron has shifted the burden of proof.

I'm still considering this a piece of right-wing sinophobic propaganda. Even if they did have some "evidence", I have no idea how it is going to counter the very convincing molecular biological evidence I've seen which a lab leak simply cannot explain.

The man on the right is Kristian Andersen, the guy who Fauci called on 2/1/20 and ordered to publicly say it wasn’t lab-made, which he did. Fauci then gave him $1.88M grant, +$16.5M funding

Also worth mentioning that another one of these supposed major-league scientists was championed as a guy who "knew his chit" when it came to a plausible molecular biological case for lab leak, only for it to dawn on his nuthuggers that he isn't even a virologist, he's a bacteriologist.


I forget his name though, I was thinking Ralph Baric but Baric might actually be a virologist who designed a way of seamlessly editing genomes without leaving a trace. And Ralph Baric's method was held up as a means of surreptitiously editing genomes without leaving marks of human design, but as it turns out Sars-Cov-2 cannot be edited in this manner. So another fail for the Nugget Crew.

And right in the middle of that Fauci teleconference, we see the head of the NIH trying to bury lab leak on Feb 2 out of fear of "doing great potential harm to science and international harmony."
