Youre just not being logical, though. This is the biggest problem with the left- you want to continue to shape laws around the identity politics lens and then when people are skeptical of this non-merit based decision you just throw out the racist word. I really cant believe this has to be explained to you, it's so simple.

It looks like youre just programmed to devils advocate anything if it means not agreeing with a Trumper. Which in your mind, is the most evil of all evils in the world.

The ironic part is that McCarthy may have been correct. He uncovered the deep state, who have communist ideals on a global scale, and when he did so, all hell came down on him from all those deep state individuals. The same exact thing happened to trump. Look at how many people still believe Trump is guilty of all those things, when it has been proven now that he is innocent.

Ronald Reagan also tried to warn us, but he tried to do so covertly. He even stated that if the United States was ever taken down, it would be from the inside by the far left commies. What happened to Reagan after that? The far left/Democrats launched propaganda that made it look like Ronald Reagan's presidency was one of the worst in history, when, like Trump, it was actually one of the best. For instance, during trumps presidency, we saw the lowest unemployment of blacks since before the welfare state. Under Reagan, during his first term, he had some of the lowest spending and was one of the few presidents to ever balanced the budget. So how did these two presidents go down as being so bad? A democrat run Congress blew the deficit out of the water with outrageous spending that the president had very little control over

ideally.
when i watch some of the trials lately and see how lawyers who passed the original bar don't seem to know the law in relation to the case they are trying (that or they think everyone else is stupid and doesn't know the law they are making up)

i have to wonder how much worse it can get.

There are other things at play here. One being activism, another being affirmative action, yet another is the decrease in the quality of education. Here is an example of how bad it has gotten at some of these Ivy League schools; there are a couple online schools who's students were scoring higher on the bar exam than a couple of the Ivy League schools. The Ivy League schools, as a solution, went to the bar association and complained, so the bar association, not wanting to cause friction with these elite schools, banned these online schools from participating. So instead of sitting the bar higher, and aligning with the original principles of the school and providing the best education, they chose to keep their standards lower. Some of this is because they get funding from the federal government for accepting minorities, and it could cause an even higher fail rate of minorities than they already have, which is currently not good.

Only responding because this made me laugh.

In my current Masters program I was in a group and one of the women in the group said "when I found out Trump and the Russians hacked the election and changed that... nuh uh..."

This forum is nothing but modern day McCarthyism. They make all kinds of accusations then DEMAND you denounce whatever they're accusing you of.

They are incapable of having actual conversations.

Stop responding to them.
But I thought you and I were supposed to be the forum's biggest racists?I mean, I called someone a name a year ago.

ITT posters are saying blacks are too stupid to be lawyers. Surely JUSA, the guy who cares about racism, should be hightailing to the thread to denounce this racism?

He wouldn't be a hypocrite, would he? No, he couldn't be!

When you treat minorities like they're your pets that you have to take care of, it's kind of racist.

And we all see how you people react when they think for themselves. Hell, you people are turning on Chris Rock now.

I know a few in the legal profession but I'm extrapolating from my own homeland here:High scores on bar exam make a barrier to all but the most privileged (not necessarily the most intelligent). Bar exams are what, offered twice a year, no? And there's literal months between taking your bar exam and finding the result.

That's a third of the year you need to support yourself without even being able to practice law. Even worse if you fail, which isn't uncommon. This makes passing the bar daunting AF unless you're living at home, or have the support of a headhunting firm etc.

And isn't the bar exam not all that relevant to practising law? Like having to take a test for being a plumber but you get trick questions on electrical wiring, guitar tuning etc.

So the issue is more class disparity than about race, but American history has unfortunately made class and race commensurate so bar exams did become kind of racist exams. So by having the bar exam favour the upper class you have an inherent means of preserving what's typically been a white profession.

"The bar exam is not supposed to be a barrier to entering the profession

but issupposed to be a test of an applicant’s ability to successfully practice law in Delawaresupposed to be a test of an applicant’s ability to successfully practice law in Delawareand I believe these reforms will help better reflect that purpose."
My brother in christ, that is literally the same. Fukking. Thing.

Testing a person's ability to successfully practice law is a barrier to becoming a lawyer.

Have they also considered that by lowering the standards, then there will just be an increase in less qualified white lawyers as well?

It's no different than any of the groomer topics - instead of objectively looking at the situation and denouncing the practices regardless of political party, out come the Olympic Gold Medal mental gymnastics.

Even worse for a non-American where none of this shiit even affects them and simping for the political party of a completely different country makes no sense.

The chief justice of the Delaware supreme court must feel that with the exam being the toughest around, modifications must be made to keep folks from running to nearby states, and increase the types of lawyers in that tiny state.
This isn't that complicated if you read it with a neutral reading.
They will go elsewhere( NY,NJ, Pennsylvania) and skip Delaware, and he wants lawyers to reflect the population.

They said that it screens out some candidates.
Some of the smartest people i knew in college were on the pre law track and stupid people don't get into law school or even take the bar test.
Ask a few lawyers that you know.
Your false equivalence is like saying that if you are Black and Hispanic and didn't get into Harvard or Yale law school, then they you must be stupid.

Why was it set to where it was in the first place?

Seems pretty dumb to lower it, regardless of the reason. But here we are with our good times making soft men needing easier scores to get into something they "want" to do.

So why can't minorities pass it Benny?

You do realize the optics of this don't you? He is quite literally saying black people don't have what it takes to be a lawyer in his state and need special help through lowered standards.

How TF can you defend that and not be insulted?

They do pass it or there would be zero minority lawyers in the state, but obviously he want more to, so that is why it is being modified from the toughest to one of the hardest.

That is how you personally interpret it....... but you only see 1 way, this is a fact and proven on endless threads by your unidirectional replies.
You don't du nuance, shades of gray or consider all of the variables.

Omg Asians are only 2.5% of the entire legal profession, they must be dumb.

If they are in fact passing the test Benny, then there is no problem.

Funny thing is, if somebody was whining about a white person not being able to pass the test, then you'd all tell them they need to step up their game. So what's the difference? Why do minorities need special help?

Maybe he gets off on this ****?
Look how mad he's getting too lol.. They are literally telling him in plain English that minorities can't pass the test and need lowered standards.

But instead of being insulted by that, he goes on the attack at the ones who think they're as capable as anybody else lol. You couldn't make this shiit up if you tried! LMFAO!!!
It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.

So why don't more Black and Latino people pass the test Benny? He'd have more of them if they did... don't you think?

Funny thing is, if somebody was whining about a white person not being able to pass the test, then you'd all tell them they need to step up their game. So what's the difference? Why do minorities need special help?
That isn't the topic, you missed it, this is.

Fixated, on your 1 premise, ocd has kicked in...."That is how you personally interpret it....... but you only see 1 way, this is a fact and proven on endless threads by your unidirectional replies.
You don't du nuance, shades of gray or consider all of the variables."

Eject!
