Of the uninsured amounts? Insured deposits are being paid out by Monday.

This feels like ammunition for not just having a massive pile of cash sitting in one bank. Looking at my bank's insurance coverage, you're insured up to certain amounts in each asset category.

I'm thinking more keeping it in chunks in different institutions, or up to the insured limit in cash and then additional in treasuries or other asset classes, diversify into real estate with excess cash, etc etc

Not sure if you can pay for extra insurance on this type of stuff or what
