no troll, how the FK do you guys get over 200g of protein a day?

I just had 3 eggs, spinach, a fist full of ground beef, celery and mushrooms for breakfast = 50g protein

then a protein bar thats 20g protein

then a protein shake thats 40g protein

then 4 chicken tenders (clean chicken no crust) = 40-50g of protein

that's only 150g protein...

I weigh 265 and I'm trying to cut, so I can't eat much more, both becuase i'm so full and becuase it would put me above my cal limit.

What do?

Depends on your lbm, if your 260 at 50% bf u don't need 260 g of protein

Probably half of that srs

Eating chicken is the easiest way to get in protein, Greek yogurt, protein bars etc

Are you counting protein from all food sources or just from typical “protein” foods?

The struggle is real for big boys. I'd go with egg whites if your store sells them in liquid form. Maybe add another 2 scoops of protein powder.

When I have to hit 220 grams I find it easiest to just eat something small like 20-30 grams of protein about every 2 hours. Can easily keep my calories down to about 2800 and get my protein correct.

So 7am
9
Noon
2pm
4
6 and at 8 I’m done. Comes to about 220 for me. Give or take.

I lift in the morning and have 3 scoops of protonz around 7am, I bring 4 hard boiled eggs to work for a snack around 10. I have 10 ounces of chicken for lunch and 10 ounces of chicken or beef for dinner, I'm cutting too. I only eat vegetables other than that.

Let's see...

360 calories for the protonz, supposedly 75 gms protein
280 calories for the eggs, 28 grams of protein
600 calories for the chicken 70 grams of protein
600 calories for the second chicken, maybe 900 if beef
200 calories for salad dressing, ranch for the fat
maybe 150 calories for the vegetables
2 drinks = 200 calories vodka soda or the like

it's like 2500 calories and close to 250 grams of protein

The only conceivable way that I have found is chicken breast.

Low cal, no fat, no carbs, pumps up your protein numbers without sending you over the calorie deficit.

I don't think it's possible without chicken breast.

Not everyone is in a deficit but you could eat 2lbs of ground sirloin. That's like 1600 calories and 180 grams of protein. That gives you plenty of calories to fill in with carbs if you're not a twink.

I don't know what other people do.

MPS is stimulated by every meal containing 30 grams of protein from what I've read. Losing weight is only part of my goal, maintaining or building muscle is the other.

So, no intermittent fasting for me. I doubt it's much more effective than Calories in / Calories out.

1 McDouble has 22g of Protein. McDonalds sells 2 McDoubles for $3.99

Go to McDonalds 5x per day.

5 visits x 2 McDoubles per visit x 22g per McDouble = 220g of protein.

Cost $20 per day...

unless you're a HS/College kid training for a sport you don't need 200g of protein everyday.

but, if you're deadset on eating 200g per day you need to give your body a reason to want to eat 200g. Start doing intensive cardio (hill sprints and various other types of sport conditioning drills). You do that regularly on top of a weightlifting session you'll have plenty of room for 200g of protein.

5 meals at 45g of protein a day is ez

oats + whey + blueberries to get - 45
salad + chicken breast + a bit of 0 cal dressing / nuts for fats - 45g protein
preworkout meal of lean protein source + rice or cream of rice + whey + greek yogurt + some berries, easy 45 and tastes amazing
usually the opposite meal from above for postworkout but lately doing the cream of rice thing twice
last meal of the day is greek yogurt + a scoop of whey + berries and snack on veggies, another 45 ez

also intermittently sub some of those carbs/protein with macro appropriate protein bars, and occasionally drink one of those 30g fairlife protein shakes from costco

Egg whites are pasteurized so you can drink the carton. I carton 500 cals, 100 grams protein

I like canned chicken (280 cals) mixed in with soup (130 cals) = 410 cals, 65 gram protein

That's 910 calories and 165 grams protein, so you can then add something that tastes good for the last 40 grams.

Don't base it on your weight. Base it on your lean body mass. I doubt you need 265g a day.

Im not cutting weight but I eat like a egg and potato burrito for breakfast. Protein bar snack then meat and a carb for lunch. Protein bar snack. Then a pound of beef, elk, or deer for dinner with rice. Then sometimes a some lite Greek yogurt before bed if I'm hungry. Not sure what that adds up to but pretty certain it's more than plenty. Especially in combination with the carbs.... When I'm cutting, I keep the protein pretty much the same and adjust that fats and carbs. Eat a lot more vegetables and fruits and low cal stuff.

Two giant chicken breasts in the grocery store are about 14-16oz cooked. That's roughly 120-150 grams a protein alone. It's fairly easy to get protein in tbh. A whey protein shake with 2 scoops is 50g. That together is probably less than 800 calories. (Ded fkn Srs)

Let's be real, protein supplements would not exist at anywhere near the level that they do if it weren't for the fact that the supplement companies successfully marketed the idea that people need about 2x - 3x more protein than they actually do to build lean mass. Hell, if we are being honest, we wouldn't even be able to have this conversation right now if it weren't for supplement companies being really good at convincing people they can't build muscle without walking having to crack off a dozen rauncharilla protein farts an hour because they have been convinced they need to eat protein like starving hyenas.

I agree. I don't use protein supplements. If something is making you fart nonstop then it probably means you shouldn't be consuming it.

8 ounces of raw chicken is about 50 grams of protein. Do that 3 times a day and that's 150 grams there. And that's only 750 cals.

Pete Rubish is making YouTube videos again and has a recent one about this

Basically, the trick that most people use to eat these 200/300/400 gram protein diets is to not actually do it, but say you did anyway
