Got really sick & recovered. However I can barely walk on a treadmill or lift weights.. Was running 10k twice a week, & now I'm stuffed

How long does it take to recover?

On NAC, K2, Creatine, etc... Nothing is working.

How does one test for it?

I would read this to try and gain understanding.

It's a mysterious issue and it probably has several causes.

Good morning guys.

So my bloods all came out clear. Liver was optimal & even my Test had increased.

However, it's still not addressing the fatigue. The doc suggests it's Depression with a combination of post viral infection. Factoring also anxiety.

I'm starting to to believe this is a result of "long Covid" which is actually a hidden term for ADE (antibody dependent Enhancement) which is basically HIV on the immune system.

I work in a gym. And 7 out 10 trainers have significantly been weakened 'performance Outputs" within their training regime along with 2 heart attacks.

I'm starting to take a few supplements that might help?

NAC
Natto kinase
D3
Q-10
K-2
Creatine

Will these help? or suggestions?

I'm struggling to maintain my performance with teaching fitness classes at work, feels like its only matter of time until I just collapse & die on the spot.

My legs still feel extremely weak & getting volume of the "pump" is non existent when it comes to any sort of weight training

I have long covid as well. mistakenly, didnt vax

I followed a research paper that shows that the best predictors for long covid from standard diagnostic commercially-available biomarkers are - low-end or low cortisol (did your bloods include that?) or some evidence of reactivated epstein-barr virus

I have more than what the testing kit can count on EBNA antibodies - over 600

i was listening to a podcast with a therapist on it talking about burnout, and how the amygdala (part of the brain responsible for anxiety, fight/flight) literally shrinks after prolonged stress & burnout. and it can take minimum of 2 years to fully recover, but sometimes up to10 years

literally to recover. fukking crazy

Just to rectify my previous response. If you got low cortisol or cholesterol you should probably not take Ashwagandha, as it lowers both.

I can't remember if my cortisol was checked. I'm sure it was & wasn't an issue. However, I'll call in again to get me a printout of it to confirm.

Wouldn't you having high cortisol be more relatable to "Long Covid" rather than low?

Do you get sunlight? I wouldnt mess too much with supplements. Rather go absolute, especially caffeine. Get alot of sunlight. Do morning cardio & cold showers, eat clean as hell for a month. Max out cronometer with real food instead of multis.

If that wont work nothing will

Also melatonin

Wouldn't be told there is an issue because usually it is usually high cortisol being problematic. You need to know exactly how much it is because the research said lower end of the normal range (not outside lower range).

Then do a serology panel for Epstein-Barr virus - make sure it includes IGG, IGM and EBNA IGG.

Your supplement stack is fine and has some low-quality evidence behind it for all apart from creatine. I would drop the creatine.

Another thing important thing is that you might have to stop training or teach without doing. I know this is horrible but pacing yourself is very important according to the research. I used to go the gym but as soon as this happened I dropped it and only long walks.

This is all newest research so there is not much more than that. But if you want to read google "long covid Eric Topol" and a nature article will pop up.

Prognosis is not good for us so I should warn you now to mentally prepare yourself for the worst. I feel like I have had my life robbed away a month away from 26th birthday.

I had times when I felt like that. It was hard to do much of anything. I have an IBD condition and that is reportedly a common effect of the disease.

About the only thing I can offer as a potential help is avoid diary products, cheese in particular. Don't know why but cheese wears me down considerably. Foods high in calcium, such as cheese, according to one doctor whos book I read said can bring about fatigue. Don't know were he got his information from but for me I've found that to be the case.

I have my good days and bad days dealing with fatigue. Feeling rather run down at the moment but know from experience it shouldn't last for long.

it might not look very 'official', it's a fun morning show i've been listening to for over 12 years now and it's lighthearted in general. but on thursdays the dude on the left brings his sister on who is a therapist and they discuss topics. burnout is the topic they were discussing this episode.

so yeah, check out from 43:20 brah

thanks brah. My issues started after dealing with parents cancer in the middle of covid, very stressful time, also had not had vacation from work in long time due to promotions taking on more stress. Mine were not covid related afaik, so stuff like this intrigues me.

yeah man it's interesting that it's actually a physical thing in the brain.

that's the thing with stress/anxiety, so many peoplestillstill these are mickey mouse conditions are they're not that debilitating - but they literally change the brain and should be considered the same as any other condition. may more serious than the older generations let on.

sure there are tonnes of people who just band words like anxiety, stress, depression around in a nonchalant way. but for people who actually struggle, it's no joke

Is their a specific reason why to the creatine? I was using this in conjunction with Q10 as it helps with ATP production. Long covid or CFS seems to be disrupting these receptors.

Mate I truly understand the feeling. I'm losing muscle mass at an alarming rate & like you said, everytime to try push it, it just gets even worse.

I really hope there's a cure for this. Feel like I want to rope.

NAC helps the liver dramatically. However it's seems there's more going on here.

It's bizzare man.... It's not only us. It's heaps of people around us that hasn't noticed it as a disease & more of a mental depression.

I'm excused. Company is doing budget cuts on top is just what I need.

If you think about it. Every "new" infection, the recovery is getting slower. I feel like I won't live for another 5 years tbh the way my body is breaking down

**** that.

this is just a problem you haven't found the solution for yet. Keep searching.

step 1 - Find actions that everyone would agree are healthy, and are low effort, and make habits around doing those.
how about 30 minutes of meditation a day?
how about a short walk outside first thing in the morning?

I would follow up on the low cortisol tips regarding long covid, since Ashwaganda made thing much worse and it lowers both cortisol and cholesterol that might be a clue (or it might be something else entirely).

Just YouTube search Dr. Berg chronic fatigue syndrome, and similar terms, and watch every video.

Your other option is to say something typical and predictable like “Dr. Berg is a fraud” etc. and continue having your problems.

these things are an absolute non-issue, have simplest solutions, and are an absolute joke that you can probably resolve even without looking at any natural holistic solution, or seeing a natural doctor, simply by stopping eating garbage that you’re eating, and having a terrible lifestyle that you’re having. 100% srs.

There is absolutely zero chance, and I mean zero, that you would have any of these issues if you ate a healthy diet once a day and had a healthy lifestyle, without any bad habits, or ingesting something wrong. There is no way, human body simply doesn’t work that way.

Could you give some quick examples of common lifestyle or diet issues? There's a ton of videos that will take a long time to consume, so a few examples could help people get started.
My ALT is elevated. 75.

If I was you I would completely eliminate from my diet sugar, dairy, caffeine, grains, most if not all carbohydrates, soy, any and all preservatives, and anything artificial.

Under no circumstances should you ever use any drugs or medications, or use alcohol or smoke or vape.

I would eat once a day, absolutely no snacking, you should still eat Same total daily maintenance calories but only once a day, if that’s impossible, I would do a 4 hour eating window. Basically, I would just eat a grass fed large steak with large salad, done. Or something similar. Goes without saying that all food is to be organic.

3 L of water, highest quality filter, a must,

I would take some obvious supplements, all supplements are to be whole food based organic from reputable brands, but just common sense things like multi, fish oil, vitamin D, nac, probiotics,

Sleep in a dark room, no electronics, no TV, no loud music, I would completely disconnect from all social media permanently, good high-quality medium firm mattress. Fresh air daily a must, if you live in a polluted dump, I would be looking for an opportunity to relocate to where the air is better.

If I’m doing the above and still having a problem after a few days, I would go and see some natural holistic doctor of some kind, and like I said, just watch Dr. Berg videos on whatever topic that interests you.

Do not underestimate the things that I wrote above, I had a client who had devastating symptoms that nobody could figure out, turns out water supply in his house was polluted, so a simple act of washing dishes, or taking a shower would **** him up. and another person gets swollen hands and fingers, again Nobody knew what it was, but people in the know know that this is simply a gluten intolerance, this is why I would eliminate grains if I was you. Garbage food like grains causes many random and very bad side effects in many people.

Also, remember that holistic natural doctors that see rich people and athletes will give you a far more detailed blood test, regular blood tests are a joke, since your body will do everything possible to keep blood values correct, but it doesn’t mean that you are not deficient in something!
