PPL brahs who train 3x/wk

Do you get crazy doms after every workout or nah?

Been on full body split for about 6mos, thinking about switching to more hypertrophy focus for the summer.

Do you get multiple day doms hitting a muscle group 1x per week?

Been a while since doing a split like that.

I don’t think splitting up muscle groups will be superior to full body training even if your goal is hypertrophy

True, thanks. Might just switch up movements a bit
then for interests sake.

Always thought that was the point of a split. I can do more, say, pull ups and dips, by doing pull ups one day & dips the next. Then doing both on the same day?

50-80 reps on the target with something heavy enough to do 8-12 per set (slow tempo negatives)
will give some DOMS for a couple days
3-4 days rest and you're ready to add more weight

I would argue if you did a several pulling exercises (or push or hinge or squat) spread out over a week you could do them with more intensity than if you did them back to back in a single workout

And it’s just something I read a few times, that full body is superior to “arm/chest/legs/back” day splits

Nice. Should probably mix it up after a couple months anyway. Gets dull following the same program ad infinitum.
