First you should stop by the gas station and buy a Monster, pack of Marlboro Reds and some scratchers for the first day.

After that you can make a list of what tools you're going to need.

Do you know how to use a tape measure? The metal tab has a 1/16 slot for measuring inside or outside edges. Also a decent tape measure you buy will come with a dimension of the housing so you can measure off the base if necessary.
