Not saying anything regarding 2020, but the DNC effectively doesnt allow voters to choose their candidates because they rig their primaries via SuperPAC's. Bernie had a good shot in 2016 but Hillary dunked on him with all the super delegates. It was almost comical nobody even talked about it.
