Still believe they should have gone with Clive Owen over Daniel Craig.

He would have done a much better job.

The Dalton and Craig movies are more realistic while the Brosnan, Connery and Moore movies are more out there. I like them all but Moore and Craig movies tend to be my favorites. Moonraker, Man with the Golden Gun, Live and Let Die, Skyfall and Casino Royale are my top 5

Why?

It’s a series that spans 20+ films, and by keeping to tightly held ideas of who/how Bond is or what’s “true to the books”, you run the risk of massive repetition and the series become stale… which is EXACTLY what has happened.

You might have also noticed that the first film where a new Bond actor is introduced is usually the best and all the subsequent sequels (with the same actor) are chit. So, my suggestion would be to have a new actor play Bond with every film; this will help give each film it’s own distinct flavour.
Dr.No, From Russia with Love and Casino Royal are actually the only ones that are staying somewhat close to the books. Most of the other ones have no connection whatsoever to Flemming's work.

I think adapting one of the books more closely, including a 50's/60's setting, would make for a very interesting movie.

Javier Bardem was awesome in that one.

Bond is a science fiction character, at least as far as the movies go. The stories are what's called a "near future" science fiction story, which is where technology that pretty much exists today could be used for some challenging situation.

The Craig movies acted as if that was stupid and then took the wonder out of the stories.

As I've said, Mission Impossible films have some possible science fiction, action, and plot. So, they are better Tom Cruise Bond films, than Bond films, and that flips me out!!

One of the bedrooms of a rental house of mine is full of those bond movie posters framed you see outside theaters. You can probably guess what we call the room

Also, I gotta say, the Bond girls from the 60s, and 70s were almost unreal when it came to their beauty.

Honor Blackman, aka Pussy Galore, right? What a total - f*cking misnomer. I mean, I wouldn't have touched her with yours.

She was in a lot of action and adventure TV shows before Bond. So, I guess they thought she would be a familiar face in the Bond film.

It turns out that she's British which I didn't know. She had a massive career after the Bond movie.
