Even if this wasn't true (it is) dude could put the bulk of his winnings into some VERY low risk investments and still blow $15mm/year without ever touching the principal. I think he'll be ok...

Probably??? even a basic 4% return on $800 mil would be making $32,000,000 a year. You can 1000% live an upper class life style the entire time and last generations. The people who blow through hundreds of millions after winning the lotto just spend in the most reckless of ways and probably don't invest a penny into the market. My guess is they just have the lump sum in a checking/savings account and just drain it handing out money left and right while buying expensive toys with expensive insurance rates and expensive houses with expensive property taxes.

someone should let him know he needs personal security. since he isnt famous celebrity he can't just walk around in public and rely on the public looking out for him.

Why did he reveal his identity? They know who he is, where he lives and what car he drives.

This dude 100% going to get robbed.

Insane to stay in CA at that point and give them money

Even if you likes CA you should "invest" in property elsewhere and rent a vacation home in CA

The money they are going to take from this guy it is just morally not right

If he chose the lump sum it's something like 700million after taxes. Still a comical amount of money though.

Wizarded here. Yep, T-bills are currently over 4% for fairly short term ranges.

1. Property taxes in California are 1% of assessed value (purchase price) + plus incumbencies from other municipal bonds passed by voters. Assessed value cannot increase more than 2% per year while under the same ownership.

2. See above. He's not running out of money, unless he makes some really dumb investments.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

I think this guy is young he looks late 20s or early 30s, the guy just rushed quickly, he is going to go broke quickly he is spending his money foolishly it seems, but poor people have no clue about money.

Also this is why its scary to win the lotto, no privacy some losers with no life actually want to find out who this guy is and took pictures why?

What do they get maybe they want him to get robbed or something, why cant people just mind their own business.

Let the guy live his life smh

Someone in California is going to get this dude especially since he lives in hollywood hills some of those thugs who rob rappers will pay him a follow home
